DISC DOCTOR RECORDS HISTORY
In January of 2003, after a long and recognized musical career, releasing his tracks on a large number of labels (Weekend, Virgin, Sony, Defected...), and seeing the amazing success of the track Dr. Kucho! “Belmondo Rulez”in Malta, Dr. Kucho! decided to give a second chance to this tune re-releasing it, after some little modifications, with the name “Belmondo Rulez 2.0” as first release of his new record label: Disc Doctor Records.

This was a strong beginning for this little new Spanish label. Vocal version, even with video clip, was done, it was remixed by Bob Sinclar, included in the most important compilations of the moment, played in the radios, clubs…and reviewed and charted by the most important magazines and djs, becoming number 6 of best tracks of the year by DJ magazine UK 2003.

2004 was also an excellent year for Disc Doctor Records thanks to Dr. Kucho! “Lies to yourself”, an anthem in Holland, supported by Bob Sinclar, Deep Dish, Erick E and many others around the world. Moreover, the label started to release other producer’s work: Mario Ochoa, Dario Nu, David Vio, Carlos Gallardo, Sal Basile… and some successful collaborations between Dr. Kucho! and others like Gregor Salto, releasing “Can’t stop
playing”, which held the number one slot on Dutch radio charts for 5 weeks, or Pedro del Moral, for Rain (I Want a Divorce and this tune, as others produced by Dr. Kucho! and released at Disc Doctor Records, like “Challenge for Sark” or “Reanimator”, was very influenced by the soundtracks of movies or the movies it selves.

In 2005, Disc Doctor Records started to sell his tracks on Beatport, then Traxource and Junodownload would come. Finally, in 2007 the label stopped manufacturing vinyls, due to the change of the market.

Ending 2008, after the great summer track Dr. Kucho! “Holy Spirit”, the big surprise was Dr. Kucho! “Groover’s Delight”, number 16 in Beatport house top100 only six days after being released. This success would continue in January of 2009, when Dr. Kucho! decides to re-release “Patricia never leaves the house” to celebrate his 200
productions spanning a 17 YEAR career. The track, with mixes of Dr. Kucho! himself, Gregor Salto, Peter Gelderblom, Mike Haddad and Royce Heaven, was welcomed by Beaport users. Dr. Kucho! mix reached number 5 in progressive house top 100 only one week after the release date. Later on 2009 the release of Dr. Kucho! “Old School E.P” and Dr. Kucho! “Chase”, at the end of the year, would keep the great sales of the label.
