Just finished Set 1 of 60 songs of Jacidorex. Another faster set of this great artist to come. Loads more to come for the Goa and Hard Trance fans, AND the more deepish mellow fans as well. AND even the DNB fans.
Started an Ambient songs in Ireland where i re-united with my ex and became half Irish again, as i always should have stayed, ,which was not my choice, but was caused by me. But thank goodness my wife has a big heart just like me, so we are back, and I am happier then before.
Some slower techno with time as well, this just rocks my boat most, next to uplifting trance obviously. This is just more raw and less polished and less emotional with breaks. Like i had when growing up at the warehouse parties. SO when i encountered a track of this producer i just had to hear more as the way he arranges his tracks just serves us DJ's PERFECTLY !
HE or SHE, UNDERSTANDS how Techno SHOULD be arranged !
THAT is what makes these tracks very easy to merge together in a mix.
I ADVISE starting dj's to use this producer' s tracks IF your into Techno. He makes his songs very mixable, AND the simplicity, WITH RESPECT, of the repeats of techno ,make these tracks to be full with options of times when you start your mix in point.
Weather you start at 2 minutes or 5 minutes in. This producer makes dj tools, as well as producing songs.
Makes learning how to become a dj a lot easier to have such songs to learn with !
You are continuously hearing 2 songs playing together, throughout the whole mix. AND all songs play from start to end, so no fading out, but the songs are all played from start to end ! THAT to ME is the challenge while mixing lately. To constantly have 2 songs running together. I DO admit that using EQ more would make my mixes less muddy. But heck TO ME mixes is like making card board puzzles. Artists make the arrangements and we DJ's melt them together to make em a family within our mixes.
SO IF you think you like a song from my playlist, then look the song up on the net and listen to it, before you buy it ! IF the song you searched for is not the song you clicked with on the list then search the song before or after and listen to it to hear if that song is what you searched for. I TRY to melt the songs together so then, which song is what part, becomes hard to identify.
I do this on purpose. I make own songs as well. A lot of time goes into making songs, so i make my mixes in such a way that cutting mixes to get a song from that mix, is useless, as you always hear 2 lol. Never that song you want solo.
BUT a track list full of choices ! lol

Is there still a mix length limit on the house mixes site ? I am attempting to upload a new mix i just made, but it looks like it hangs before completion. I figure my mp3 exceeds a possible file length or size limit as the mix i'm attempting to upload has a duration of 3 hours. So figure about 400 mb as 320 mp3.
IS this a limit that i bump into while attempting to upload my new mix ? IF SO. Where lie it's limitations ? Is it the size of the file, which i can reduce to making it a 192 MP3, like youtube does. OR is the limitation the amount of time the mix uses ? As in length of the mix, in duration of time ?
I make mixes to serve people, and to give them track lists to have songs to search for to make their own mixes, AND obviously to promote the artists that i chose worthy enough to be part of my mixes, and i figure the length limit of the CD medium has by now been past. Consumers no longer burn a mix to a cd, WHICH limited us dj's to make mixes no longer then 74 minutes what, 1 hour 14 or so minutes ?
Now we are in the era of "Usb Sticks", Portable Hard Discs and Bluetooth powered sound systems !
SO ,I as DJ am more "Inspired" to actually make "Longer" mixes of ,like the one i currently try to upload is, which is a 3 hour mix., containing 60 songs.

For the downloaders, wait 3 days or so ! I will post updated version in the info part in 3 days, then you get a better download. Exact same mix but then without the edits i had to make at the end. I just want my mixes as good as i can get them, and the end i do not agree with and some not well enough in sync parts as well. BUT i love the songs in it and vibe it gives, so gladly re do this puzzle mix to get a cleaner result.
Am experimenting a bit with a basic limiter as well, as some may hear. On the trance mixes it takes too much from the emotion imo, so never use a limiter on such mixes, but with this one i thought I'd give it a try. Boost it indeed gives, but not sure if i am liking the compromise of the high tones jumping out at times and the volume changes. Will probably not throw a limiter over the updated version, to get it a bit less muddy.
So 3 days. So Tuesday i must have an updated version up, for those that want to download it.
AND IF you like the vibe and songs used then look up this artist. I normally need days to get the puzzle exactly as i want it. And that takes days if not weeks to get the right fitting song at times. But with this artist i put the blocks together in 48 hours to get to this result. Off course there are some moments i would want to improve and some i will. But with this artist you do not have the problem that he uses the same kick in all of his songs lol
Some musicians use the same kick in various of their songs and when you mix THEIR songs together then you hear the kick flanging instead of adding to each other. That then makes making mixes of one specific artist a bit harder. This producer uses all kinds of different kicks, so its easy and matching to mix his songs together, as his style throughout to me feels like old skool rave. With a whole lot of Acid influences thank goodness, as Acid stays a needed element in house, certainly in the more underground hard styles.
SO GLAD a friend asked me about a video where his music was played in the background. A parrot head-banging on a party open air. A friend wanted that song so i looked it up and heard many interesting songs and as explained arranged in a way that its minimal enough to play 2 songs on top of each other and not even have the need to use eq to avoid muddiness of the sounds. IF i want to then i can layer 4 decks while mixing his music cos its so well arranged and minimal, YET punchy.
I really hardly did any eq work. SO, great tracks as dj tools. Only down point is that some kicks have little punch. But figure those are his older songs and the 130 bpm tracks that i boosted 10 bpm up. That then gives a kick in the song that eq does not affect much. BUT on the other side its that which makes this artist great. You don't get flanging kicks AND can thus layer kicks without the need to eq the playing kick back much, which at times can give us dj's the chance to increase the punch of a song by layering those kicks to give the listener more power. AND i heard some useful samples that we can cut out as instruments for our own productions. Some acid samples i certainly will cut out and use as sample for future own projects.
After making the updated mix, then i will puzzle the 143 bpm and up songs together hopefully another 60 track mix. And then re doing the Ace only mix as that also had some unwanted mistakes in it, and Ace also deserves a better representation. And after that i'll make a version of my own new drum and base song to give my listeners a newborn child. I just am way too creative when making tracks and put way too many themes in my songs which then makes it hard for me which melodies to keep and which to drop. SO, after not showing up much lately, more will come in the near future, mixes and own made songs as well.
I also saw a section of missing audio. So of my older mixes where the audio got lost from. After the mix update then i will see if i can re upload the audio of all my missing mixes that i see there in the list which are 109 missing audio files. BUT i should still have all of them, so will have a look to see if i can re upload all of them with time.
