He was born in South Africa and with South Africa as his homeland, he was influenced by the rhythmic sounds of drums. The genres he plays are Tribal, Tech, Latin and Deep House. His influences comes from Dj's like Chus, David Herrero, Robbie Taylor, David Penn, Rob Mirage, Coqui Selection. Besides these Dj's he gets his insperation from people like DJ Culoe De Song and local people in South Africa. In the mixtapes you hear the influences by the many different kinds of house music. H. Mendus wants to satisfy his audience by surprising them with his unique sound. In the future he wants to start producing. One of his dreams is to make music with local people in South Africa.
