Here's the back story folks, Be sure to get in early a HUGE day for music lovers on the way......... as for the setting for the Afterparty........ it actually got recorded live at the Afterparty we had in Sunday February 19th after de Saturday’s all nighter when we presented DUBMASTERS - 12 BAR DISCO (our second release so far)
So… Imagine I died. I am dead. The show is over, goodbye.
What comes now? How can I still feel I am not gone?
I feel like walking, but my legs won’t respond. I imagine I can fly, and off I go, up in the sky, above the earth, I can go anywhere I want.
The sun is nice, the air on my face feels too real to be dead, but I don’t want to question the experience, I am starting to like it!
I spot an Island below, the lush green tree tops and several palm leaf huts, the white sand and the shining break of the waves on shore call me in.
I am moving, floating, flowing among the smiling faces of the village, very familiar faces actually, I realize I know everybody on this island.
There is no need for words. Feelings, visions and thought transcend our intention of communication, they just flow unlimited by reason or logic…
THIS MUST BE HEAVEN!
I continue to float into what it seems to be the biggest building on the beach, there is music and light flooding the space, my heart pumps in excitement.
Everything is wood inside. I move through the incredible cypress dance floor and make it to the ebony altar at the end of the hall.
I recognize another familiar face behind the altar, it’s David Mancuso, who hands me a drink and points out to a crate on the floor…
MY RECORDS! I could not expect anything less from Heaven, I am feeling so at home in this place already!
Ron Hardy and Larry Levan are battling behind the decks on one of the most amazing back to back sets I ever witnessed, sweat flying in all directions, laughter, tears, three records spinning at all times, and the music… oh the MUSIC !!!
David suggest it’s time for me to set up… WHAT? REALLY? Yes, time to take on the decks for the next to hours and continue with this sweet sweet moment… because Frankie Knuckles is coming to close the night… can you IMAGINE THE AFTER PARTY? #springintosummersessions2017 via www.strangecargo.listen2myshow.com
