Whilst recording the "Poolside Chill" series, i'd noticed a build up of decent Indie & Rock favourites that the lads & I from school would listen too back in the day, so decided to smash out a mix dedicated to the lads with many favourites from our Indie & Britpop drinking & house party days. Should be at-least one song for everyone on this session.
The last few tracks slightly out of fashion to the rest of mix however, as it was to be a "Lads Edition" surely a Champagne Supernova finish with a little Smashing Pumpkins should be on the table to close just before some Ian Brown (who turned out to be a legend these last few years!!!)
My favourite track if I had to pick one would likely be Dakota by Stereophonics as it quite easily fits into a modern day set however I do love all those Nirvana ones too, love it!!!
The album cover is of a pub at Newton Ferrers & Noss Mayo in Devon, which gave us some decent stories to tell from back in the day ;-)
Interesting (or not so interesting) fact, I recorded this once already however, after over an hour recording, noticed ... it wasn't recording anymore & stopped after a couple minutes!! So had to do it again! Hopefully you may think it was worth it ;-)
