Bio

Gastek is the result of two dj, two producers, two programmers and two musicians, well, just two friends. Roberto Formisano and Francesco Cuomo, join in 2002 and started the Gastek Project just using a drum machine and two turntables. Has been nearly 20 years since they started their passion for club music, they have grown musically, finding their musical inspiration. In 2007 after 15 years of night clubbing and private remixes the guys make up their mind: it’s time for the big step, produce their own record. Melting electro and deep house with minimalistic noises, in a elegant powerful warm way, they’ve made their own sound. All projects from gastek are mixed from Luca de Gregorio at noonstudios.com, the place where the In minimal record label release all tracks, and mastered by the best engineers from Alchemy Soho, The Exchange and Absolute Mastering. With great support in their productions from abroad (Jeff Samuel, Martin Dawson aka King Roc, Theodor Zox) they have released tracks played by top dj’s in the world scene like Sven Vath, Anja Schneider , 16 Bit Lolitas, Milton Jackson, Silicone Soul,Solomun, Alex Santos,Laurent Garnier ,Tom Novy, Sasha and much more Their first EP White/Split released in 2007 is also included in DJ MAG Covermount Cd (March 2007 issue) Comment on DJ Mag “This fusion of electro house and minimal rhythms and grooves produces an energetic, winning track." ;
