The "Polka Dot age" came and went in a few short years (1989-1992). However the "Boy Genuis" Kwame made his mark within late 80's Hip Hop. He was the one of few artists to produce his own music and for short time was to Hip Hop what Prince was to Funk.
As the style of Hip Hop was changing in the early 90's Kwame's sound begun to sound dated. Eventually West Coast Gfunk and NYC boom bap sound took over Hip Hop and the Polka Dot Age was over. However Kwame still released quality tracks that "golden age" Hip Hop heads should enjoy.
