Wow Jason. Love the comment that says some dark tunes in there. Uhhhhhhh I dont think there is ever 1 tune playing alone in this diabolical monstermash of a set so saying that kind of sells it short. All the looping, layering and sampling really come together seamlessly to create a sound that is truly evil. If other so called DJs put half the effort into theyre sets that Jason does then the world would be a beautiful sounding place. Your skills are untouchable J. I cant say enough about this. Give Jason 10 tracks and he will make 10 sets out of the same tracks that sound totally different. U are a master of manipulating music and bending it to your will. What u do is magic. The fact that its all Analog is even crazier. Unlike my Ableton sets which I can work on for a month, you do this in one hour with cdj's and samplers. If people knew exactly what you do to make intricate sets like this they would not even believe. Congrats on another masterpiece. Wether or not you win this contest doesnt matter. The true listeners who really love this music know who the winner really is after just 15 minutes of this set. U rock brother. Great job again.
Hey Mark that was definitely not a jab at you. What u said can be looked at in alot of ways, Im sure you didnt mean anything bad by it. I just wanted everyone that hears this to know how much work and skill goes into making this. The songs he is using are mostly minimal and he only uses the parts he wants. The atmosphere behind all the music is coming from other tracks samples and loops that he is creating live and on the fly. Plenty of DJs find great tunes and mix them together well to create sets. What Jason does here is so far beyond that. Most casual listeners would have no idea and be mistaken that he just mixed a bunch which is not the case here.Not even close. Im not saying you dont know either. lol.
