nice can you do a long mix cheers
Thanks for bringing her to people's attention!
- I'm looking forward to this retro, pop/rock music mix. I didn't get a chance comin' up to dive into her full catalog.
- Opening track.... - WOW, you immediately take notice of her vocal pitch and phrasing. ALL SMILES about the definitive 1980s synth sound. 3:50 mark - Gloria indeed, INSTANT GOOSEBUMPS (childhood crush). I was in 5th grade when this was a radio hit. 9:30 - HA, MAN....I vaguely remember this one. Hearing this vibe and remembering the fashion styles back then, sexy had an innocently, cheeky nicety to it. https://66.media.tumblr.com/af818444226932e46c9ecd0609e43d30/tumblr_nslamsEKMX1rp9p7do1_r1_500.jpg - 13:30 - CLASSIC, "Please Stay, Go Away (1982)."After "Gloria" this one stayed on the radio for years after its original release. Notice the lead guitar solo and the anthem-cadence vocals, the producers knew how to duplicate a hit 17:00 - OH MAN, I aven't heard this one in AGES \\0// \\0// !!!!!!!!!!!! 20:30 - HA, LUV IT. Yep, this one got radio play as well, another one I forgot about. 24:11 - Luv the overdubs of her chorus and male vocal backing. 25:15 - Again....TIMELESS. All the vets will know this track in three notes. 26:45 - Coda. Going back through these tracks and you can tell how PASSIONATELY she sang. She definitely lived and believed in the lyrics.
- Deffo a trip down memory lane right ere FM radio vets. All the 45+ somethings will remember most of these tracks. However, unless you were an avid fan, you haven't heard the other "hits" since the mid-1980s. (29 mins - NOSTALGIA GOLD!)
