The two DJ’s got to know each other when they were studying together (2008). They heard from each other that music was their joint passion and found out that both of them were actually playing music on their own. Why not bundle their talent and became a duo? Very soon it appeared that both DJs were complementary to each other and definitely on the same wave. They started looking for a name that would reflect their personality and style and, after gathering inspiration, LECTROCUTED was born. They were asked to play a couple of times at parties and, building on their early success helped them to reach other and more milestones to build on. After the first year of experience, they decided to participate to the Brussels DJ-contest. They were selected, but, despite their wild and enthusiastic supporters, they didn’t end in the final round. LC is still young, but is trying to get up to making it. All we need is two players, some cd’s and biiiiig subwoofers. We don’t like little beats, we don’t like melodies, we like low basses, loud and vibrating!!! What we want is to shiver everybody’s eardrums, so they will never forget us!!! We believe music makes people feel good. In a world full of angry and darkness, we try to forget the problems. How we do? We drop a massive bass!!!! A bass so hard the speakers will be at the other end of the room when our set is finished.
Now we are 2012. A lot has happened between 2008 and 2012. Philippe and Niels both graduated. They both went different ways. Niels decided to continue studying and Philippe decided to work. Philippe still loves making music but he doesn't have so much free time anymore to play with Niels. That's why both DJ's decided it is better for Philippe to focus on his work and take a step behind for lectrocuted. His love is still huge for lectrocuted, that's why both DJ's decided that Niels should keep lectrocuted on his own.
Of course the friendship between both DJ's is still huge and they will play together some times when it is possible!
