Let's see..When did I first hear of Tech N9ne, and his music? It wasn't when I was in The Bronx. Ah! Rochester, NY. 'Caribou Lou', came out in 2006, but I heard it in 2012, 13 in Rochester, NY. From Rochester, I moved to Charlotte, NC. Then one day I saw somewhere he was giving a show..but it wasn't a large arena. Some small club-like spot. I didn't care, I purchased a ticket. It was April 22, 2014, the day before my birthday, and I was not going to miss THIS SHOW.
It was a small venue, and it was packed. They were not letting anyone else in. Security was backing people up and away from the entrance. I turned around to walk away, and this huge Black person handed me a pass in plastic. Told me to put it on and find my way to the back of the place. Took me 20 minutes to find it. Security waved me through. Have you ever been to a Prince concert? Do you know what a Prince concert attracts as in women? Tech N9ne also has that type of attraction. All I can say is 'Light-skinned Green-eyed Women' in ALL sizes. Took me another 10 minutes to realize that Tech N9ne and his Crew were among us.
Four Speakers were brought outside, as they were going inside to perform. Security stated that if we left, we would not be let back in the back..and that after the show he was holding an After Concert Party right where I was standing. I found a spot in the back and listened to the show. Afterwards..The party was cray cray.
I wasn't invited to The After Party Party.
