A long time in the making, the third volume of Bombay Mix. This one starts out quite mellow, with a sample of Rekha's husky voice from Umrao Jaan (1981), which translates as "I remember nothing when ye are before me. Else, I definitely had something to speak to thee."
The mix then winds away on a journey through ambient, trip-hop and Indian pop music. Check out the gorgeous opening "Weather Storm" from Craig Armstrong, then drift away on the lush sitar stylings of Tulku. There's a bit of A. R. Rahman for any Bollywood fans who've wandered in, and even a devotional piece by Jai Uttal. And I really like the jazzy sitar closer, "Mathar" by The Dave Pike Set.
