1. Alan Parsons released a song called 'Apollo' on his 'In Air' LP.
2. Apollo 11 released a 12" single titled 'One Small Step'.
I have taken elements of both, intermixed soundbites from actual NASA program flights Mercury, Gemini and Apollo. I was born in 1959, several months after NASA announced the Mercury program. I grew up listening to, and watching the space race with the Russians. The astronauts were my heroes. I have two great passions...MUSIC and HISTORY. This was an opportunity to put the two together. i still have a model of the moonlander and the Apollo docking together with the russian spacecraft. Yes those were some awesome / exiting times and you have captured some of that in your track. Nice !
