Ashford and Simpson's Bourgié Bourgié is a Classic Disco song. It was originally a instrumental cut on their 1977 lp 'Send It'. The instrumental version was a classic masterpiece. In the U.S. their version was never released on 12" so the U.K. press of it has become a coveted collector's item. In 1979 John Davis and the Monster Orchestra covered it. The next year it was covered by Gladys Knight and the Pips as the b side to their soulful disco classic Taste of Bitter Love. The Gladys Knight version of Bourgié Bourgié was produced by Ashford and Simpson. I remixed the Ashford and Simpson version and the Gladys Knight version along with the Great Frankie Knuckles remixed version for a newer dance feel, and mean no disrespect to the original versions, I do not own the rights to this music, I remixed it for listening pleasure only, Enjoy!!!!!
