Mix 039: A Dialtone Joint (08.2010)

I’ve been working on this mix for a while now, but I think it's good enough to release at this point - so hop on it!

"A Dialtone Joint" is comprised of classics released from 1975 through '81(-ish). Named after the first club I played at (a horrible dive of a bar, but magical nonetheless!), I produced it for a group of close friends who partied regularly at the club. Ironically enough, we all remain close to this very day. Must be the music ;)

FYI: I’ve incorporated the first few songs of this set from another mix I posted earlier ("Mix 028: Nice & Slow"). These particular songs were popular at the club and I felt they truly belonged herein, as well. So if you think you’ve already heard this mix as you begin listening, keep on going ;)
