I am 58 years old so my DJ'ing and hanging out in the club's days are behind me. It is a younger persons game as it is and I had my many many years of club glory and amazing nights primarily in the 90's. These days I am gracefully (and wisely) stepping back from the clubs and have been somewhat retired from the DJ grind since 2005. I still enjoy all aspects of putting together a great mixed set though and primarily do so for my friends these days. Some of the big influences on me back in the day were the amazing Tom Johnson, DJ Buck (from Atlanta) and Warren Gluck. I was also a friend and huge fan of DJ Ron Thomas (of Groove Radio - DJ Ron Thomas and the lunch time groove fame). Chris Cox from back in his "Hot Tracks" days and then of Thunderpuss 2000 and then just Thunderpuss fame also really influenced my club music style. I still love the over the top club anthem sound they created but that might be getting too late 90's for some of you.
