The 1980s Remixed (Vol. 19)

Volume 19 is one of my favourites for one key reason - it was the first time I decided to truly slice and dice, mix and not simply do full songs with great (or ok) transitions. In the first 18 volumes (save for Vol. 11), I stuck religiously to the full remixes ... which was both a blessing and a curse. Remixes are very long (of course) and some of my early volumes, in my opinion, tended to be too long. 12-13 songs in 75-80 minutes. When I began Vol. 11, I wanted to tighten that up, because a few of the remixes in that volume were too long, too boring, but had great parts. I didn't get serious about it until Vol. 19.
While I love Vol. 19 , I do have regrets. I thought it started out insanely great, but I could have picked better songs to end it. It felt like a mix where I lacked stamina or focus.
That said, New Life was a brilliant song to start Vol. 19 and I still love Vol. 19 for putting me in a different direction.
