You won’t sit back – you’ll join the party! Because whatever it takes to create extraordinary vibes and amazing atmospheres, he has it. For over 15 years, DJ Scandal has been blowing minds with his storytelling sets that incorporate live remixing and editing combined with flawless taste and perfect sense of mood.
St Petersburg native , New York based DJ/Producer/Promoter Scandal started his dj career in 1994 at Moscow’s first nightclub Lis’S. Soon, he advanced to promote his own parties at the famous club, OK. The following year, independent newspaper Xiles called his carnivale like “Scandal’s Suturdays“ the best parties in Moscow’s nightlife. Year 2000 saw him with a residency at night club Zeppelin.
Great management, a brilliant dj team, and his unique style brought together his next big push in the ”DJazzy project” (live sax, trumpet and percussion), which attracted people from every corner of the city. The following for their sets became enormous locally. Zeppelin soon became “Moscow’s Best Club“ and DJ Scandal the most wanted dj in the city. The Same year DJazzy and DJ Scandal headline the first Annual Russian Electronic Dance Music Festival “Fortdance” located on one of St Petersburg’s Island in the Baltic sea, hosting 5,000 people!
The next two years has Scandal touring around the world (Amsterdam, London, Zurich and Frankfurt, Cannes an Nice), holding residency at Fashion TV shows performing for names such as Carl Lagerfeld, DKNY and many more before moving to the US in 2002 . Centro Fly, Avalon, Pacha, Crobar, & Sullivan room all warmly welcomed his talent and give him a chance to get started in a new city.
“Fancy clubs, 30 thousand people open airs, fashion tv, models, world famous designers, brand names, sponsors, blah-blah-blah……… Been there , done that. Now that the end is near and Electronic Dance Music has become a wasted product associated to Bacardi sponsored parties, none of it matters. What DOES matter is to turn on our mind and realize that we are given precious gifts as life and the world to live in and its our responsibility to hand it over with love and peace to our kids. Live, Love, Laugh!!! Dance your stress off. Charge yourself with good energy and positive mood. There are many very talented DJs and I have respect to them all. I don’t see myself as a shining star.
