This mix is for my friends Talia and Dale, who have greatly influenced my musical direction into the world of the psy downtempo.
It just so happens that two shows that i will be playing this October will be this genre of musik and it so happens that both their birthdays land between these 2 events.
So as a "thanks" and a "happy birthday" from me...i dedicate this mix to these two lovely creatures of the fae.
This mix is a smattering of psy-dub, psy-DM, and psy -breaks.
It seems hard to describe the downtempo genre into sub-genres but all i know is that it contains sections of warm tribal beats, funky dub basslines, glitchy IDM melodies and some high enlightening vocals.
It was super fun to mix and compile and definitely had my bum shaking throughout the mix. i hope you enjoy this and a happy birthday to you Talia and to you Dale.
