baiodeejay was born in Milan in 1970; grew artistically between dark music and anglo-saxon psychedelia, finds his musical identification in the panorama techno and trance tied to the Detroit scene of the 90's (Damon Wild, Mix Master Morris, Ritchie Hawtin, Orlando Voorn, Jeff Mills, Tim Xavier etc). In the 2000s the his love for the new electronics and a growing interest in house music artistically they will direct him toward the minimal - house and electro mainly linked to Berlin's German scene; musical style influenced by artists like Kraftuerk, Pink Floyd, Brian Eno etc. Matured in the Milan underground scene; today is the owner of an independent record label, called Habitat Recordings L.T.D, founded in the late '90s as well as DJ of some milanese and european clubs where also performs with his crew. Hello Party People! I am DJ SoulSh@ker, DJ Emi@L older name (Emile Banen). From the 80's i was fascinated to listen mixes on radio 3 The BVD (Bond van Doorstarters) So i thought i can do this too. Make cut and past mixes on The Akai GX-635D reel to reel tapedeck with 10" Maxell alluminium reels. After that i was fascinated to mix music on old audio and vintage DJ Gear. Repair them if it doesn't work. And sell them if i had enough of it. First mixes what i made where broadcasted on radio 538 "The Dance Top 40" in 1997. I recorded the mixes and jingles (With my own voice) on tape (Tape decks) and later on 386 computers. And after that on MD'.s (Minidiscs). Also i have make enough homemade projects like amplifiers, speakers and 3mtr transmitters. (Yes i was a pirate on the radio in the 90's) with many school and outside friends. a dj for 10 years, started out playing bassline house/speed garage on the good old vinyl back in 2002 but due to the addition of kids and a move to the coast this has forced me down the digital road, as i have no space to put equipment. Now i use cd and pc with controller. I have played on a couple of online radio stations ( www.247house.fm ) where i played every sunday between 3-5pm, i played a bit of a mixed genre set basicly playing anything with either a nice vocal, organ, bassline etc wasn't realy set on a genre as long as it had a nice feel to it i played it, i also played on LOCO'S FM back in 20004-5 which was just utter live madness haha mic, shouts, vinyl, beer, a house full, loud music and ultimately A FRIGGIN EVICTION HAHAHA. These days as above I play a mix of genre's, all focused around the bassline scene. But obviously a bit more up to date so get following, likeing, favouriting, d/loading ETC my mixes but most of all enjoy the tunage.
