About Us Bamboo Rider was born in the autumn of 2010 as a ride wear brand prepared to take responsibility for the impact their products have on the environment. Whether you ride in the ocean, in the mountains or in the urban landscape, whatever your preferred method of expression, protecting the environments we use every day is what we're all about. Our aims and goals are to design products replacing as many environmentally harmful materials as possible, with functional, eco-friendly alternatives, delivering performance, great design, durability, and style in a sustainable way, reducing environmental impact. Although every effort is made to remain completely green in our quest, at some point there has to be compromise and a balance has to be struck between ethics and functionality for our products and brand to succeed. We only select and source materials and products from factories using only renewable energy who are regulated and accredited by the Fair Wear foundation, Soil Association, the Carbon Trust and the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). We've carefully selected our printing methods to minimise the impact on the environment by using inks that take less time to cure so they spend less time in the ovens, saving electricity and making use of an in-built filter system to ensure no inks escape into the local environment. Bamboo Rider are passionate about championing unique talent from around the world, supporting riders, photographers, artists, musicians, designers and DJ’s. Raising their profile and bringing attention to their work. We currently have individuals representing the brand from the UK, France, Norway, Switzerland, Ibiza, Australia and New Zealand. We regularly sponsor music and sporting events throughout the UK and Europe. We have a dedicated and passionate social network following on both facebook and twitter, with our fan base spanning the UK, Europe, United States, South America and South East Asia. We work closely with Sports Associations in Scotland and France, such as Snow Sport Scotland and SC Meribel on their quest to develop the countries freshest new talent and regularly sponsor their Ski & Snowboard events. Our DJ’s regularly play parties in some of the top venues around. Headlining our own events and supporting acts including Roger Sanchez, The Dub Pistols, Ed Solo & The Skool of Thought, Darrison, Krafty Kuts, Skitz, A-Skillz , The Free Masons, Duke…the list is endless… Bamboo Rider doesn’t take it’s self as seriously as some others. Marco was born in 1977. He was raised in Edinburgh Scotland's capital city brought up on a diet of clubs and raves and the free party seen, Marco’s first real break came in the late 90’s when he entered the Vestax DJ Mixing Competition which he was runner up in the contest, this raised his profile amongst local promoters. Which lead to him being offered a number of gigs, some of which became residencies, around his home town of Edinburgh and various other towns and Cities in Scotland this also led to him supporting artist like Mr C, Kenny Larkin, Larry Heard, Marshall Jefferson, Robert Owens, Mathew Herbert, Felix The Housecat, Seb Fontaine, Jim Shaft Ryan, Murray Richardson and Timo Mass. Marco's rise from total obscurity has been achieved due to his natural ability, genuine enthusiasm, and his constant desire to improve his craft.Technical excellence is very important to Marco, so when he is not playing out you will find him practicing, mixing and experimenting with various styles, endeavouring to constantly improve his already very impressive D.J. capabilities. Marco describes his sound as Mainroom Groovy Business a bit of tech a bit of house which meet in the middle some where and the outcome is magical , he mixes in a style that moves and grabs any dance floor, no matter what direction he chooses to take it, once he has captured you with his inventive style there is no escape until he has spun his last tune .Coming straight from the dance floor, Marco knows instinctively what it is a crowd wants, and how to deliver it, his genuine love for music is abundantly clear. Former infamous rave animal known as thelizard, known Therapy and G.A.S.S addict and general lover of killer robots, Jaefearless has predominantly preferred partying in front of the DJ booth than being inside the booth itself. Preferably located closest to the largest bass bins, his love of getting down and jamming, dancing, partying and socialising just, just, just over shadow his love of playing around with the music itself. Fond of blending lounge, jazzs, forms of house, disco, techno and all the shades in between, he's known in certain circles for his obsessive love of the challenge of pushing the envelope with playing the latest releases blended in with eclectic undiscovered audio gems to an audience whom have no real idea what they've gotten themselves into. Of late he is particularly addicted to dubby funk'd driven bass, spaced out ethno tribal layered melodies and loves ol-skool Chicago style vocals....all usually together. Pushing it deeper with lower bpms, while still gunning through bleeding fast set on the other end of the spectrum. Loves to mix with a touch of drama and character. Then again he has been known for an almost anything goes approach. Disturbingly enough he's built up a small rabid following of fans of his sets. He is also one of the laziest bastards on the planet which in this case is a good thing. Aside from basic mastering on the sets (sometimes), what you hear here is exactly what you will hear live. To be perfectly honest he's never really considered himself a DJ, just a someone out there whom is just thankful he's found enough people to en-trance his creative whims with. On the subject of whims, have a staggering amount of new material to post so down the rabit hole we go... Word to all the bruthas the sistas and the queens, definitely the queens! Amen!
