Hi all DJ FUNK ere Don,t dj out at clubs now after 35 years of clubbing & djing happy memories (old age catching up,,lol, and now i,ve started djing back up again at home looking for a new chapter, just to let the crowd no i,am still around and now i dj as a hobbie and i do a weekly show on GLOBALDNB.COM every saturday!!....my passion is the music and vibe that you get from the listeners,, ,,and now i still feel the same passion for music now as i did way bk then,,music is the1 thing that's help me through good and bad times...so may the ride continue...long live the vibe... :-) all my mixes are done liveon cdj decksstraight to sound forgeand thats it no fancy programs just straight free style mixing oldskool.. . not that ive got anthing against gadgets.. only just started useing cdj decks last 2 years.. hope you all enjoy my sets.. feel free to leave comments all feedback welcome good or bad..take care all .. big shout out goes out to all djs on HM and paul for his hard work on HM..And not forgeting 4 long time friends [dj Darkrider],[dj morpheus], [dj charks,],[dj supremacy] and [patrick.].thanks for your surpport over the last 30 years or so we are all getting older but still going strong all for the love and passion for music...may the ride continue!! peace n lv Like to say a big thank you to all who check out my sets and listen to them or download and save them. I have always been around music since those heady days of stop/start taping of pirate radio stations....(very useful for developing editing techniques.)...Early influences were moog based /synth sounds ,fat baselines,and rhythm guitar licks ,eg nile rodgers,brass construction ,fatback,bootzy collins,and of course the late great GODFATHER OF SOUL.(JAMES BROWN)...basically anything WITH FUNK!...Then came ELECTRO,again synth based sounds ,eg gary newman,kraftwerk,omd,new order........... dj..d @various underground parties,M.O.S . ibiza..GIVE/H.O.H/ TENDER/FLY/KIMBERLEY/GOLDEN DELICIOUS/SUNNY-SIDE UP/MY FRONT ROOM,MY WEDDING!DARBY&JOAN, ET AL . musical influences again very varied ,love , breaks,deep house, melodic trance,funky house,trippy d`n`b,and, and .... basically everything !! which hopefully is reflected in my tunes ! .i also must mention Laurent webb (wubble u),whom is not only a great friend ,but has helped me enormously, with regards developing my studio skills .....! luv ya......xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ; timewriter.terry lee brown.olivier lieb.roberto rodrigues.joris voorn,leftfield,way out west,orbital,and radioslave.....
