Hi Guys,

I hope you’re all well.

Wow!

I can’t believe that it’s been nearly 30 years.

Back in 1993, I was approached by my friend and awesome DJ Jon Fisher, who asked me if I would like to become a resident DJ for a new weekly Friday Club night called The Fruit Club, at the Brunel Rooms in Swindon.

Now, I’d played in the Amphi as a guest DJ a few times over the years and I’d also played at various Rave and Club nights in Swindon too. So, I knew what a great Club scene Swindon already had.

When Jon briefed me about the plans for The Fruit Club across both the Main Room and The Amphi, I knew this night was going to be the start of something special.

I was also really excited to be sharing my residency alongside both Jon Fisher and Paul Ricketts too.

So, I immediately started to spread the word around my home town (Andover). Before I knew it, I had a regular crowd of 100+ making the journey up to Swindon, every Friday night.

On the first night, I met Steve Reid, who was the man behind the Fruit Club.

We had an instant connection and our strong relationship was made.

It wasn’t long before The Fruit Club became one of the most popular Friday Club nights in the country.


I have SO many great memories of playing each week for 15 months, at both The Fruit Club and also playing regularly on the Saturday (Frisky) nights too.

I’d met so many awesome and lovely people during that era that are still my friends today.

I will always remember the happy couple that “made out” throughout the entire time of one of my sets. Yes, I did notice.

That will live with me forever. That must’ve been one of my better sets.

So, due to the many requests, by various friends that I’ve been in touch with over the years, I’ve finally put together a mix that I feel is reminiscent of that 93-95 era. Along with a few classic surprises thrown in too.

This 80 minute mix contains just some of the tracks that I remember playing during my time in the Amphi. They instantly trigger off some of my best Clubbing memories, that will stay with me forever.

I really hope that you enjoy this mix.
