Hi Everyone . I like to introduce myself to all music lovers: DJBEAR a.k.a DJBERKAND “Purveyor of deep, infectious dance grooves and a feel-good atmosphere.” That’s how Berkand describes himself as a DJ. Never afraid to go too deep, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Having grown up on his father’s eclectic combination of Rock N Roll music (Elvis Presley,The Beatles), European pop stars (Mina, Julio Iglesias, Adriano Celentano), synth-infused 80s music (Depeche Mode, Gary Numan)… all which became infused with his own love for both disco, jazz and soft rock music, Berkand ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music that he loves best: beautiful synth work, ethereal backdrops, brooding basslines, and occasional vocal hooks… all on top of a pronounced foot-shuffling house beat. A very active member of Deep House community, Berkand is no stranger to the ups-and-downs of a small-town music scene. Though he loves playing in nightclubs, patios and special events, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. As a producer, amateur pianist, and promoter, he has found plenty of ways to express himself musically. DJ Wiz Is a professional DJ, owner and operator of Soundz Entertainment Mobile DJ Service and programmer and mixer at Soundz Radio Station based out of Baltimore, MD. DJ Wiz brings 25+ years of experience to the industry. He performs dance music, Including Old School, R&B, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Pop, Oldies, Motown, Club, House and Reggae. DJ Wiz started his career in the 80’s, playing his music at numerous, night clubs, lounges and bars in the Baltimore metropolitan area, including, Melbas Place, Fat Boys, 5 Mile House, Tee Bees Place, Big Boys Social Club, Chester St. Tavern, Joes Tavern, and the Sign Of The Times. DJ Wiz has been the resident DJ for the famous East Baltimore Reunion for 13 consecutive years and has opened up for The Legendary Panama Band, Softones, Badd, and The Ebonys. In 2011 he was given the prestigious honor of playing his music at the Odell’s Reunion Party. His mission is to preserve mature entertainment for the masses.
