From Vauxhall NJ where I first heard a DJ by the name of George Potter who helped me create my first mix with two turn tables at the age of 13. Then there was Mark Thompson who helped me polish up my skills on blending. Other mentors to me are Vernon Roberts, Phase III Disco aka DJ Butch, and Larry Morman. But it was when I went to my first night club New Experience and listened to Mark Thompson mix with 3 turntables and a reel to reel and said this will be me someday. Then there was the Paradise Garage, what an experience. Larry Levan is a one of kind. It was when I heard him for the first time and learned it’s not about the mix but about the music and how you control the music. I took that being said to Germany where I spent 4 ½ years in the army DJ’ing around Europe in several night clubs and raves. The way you control the music puts you in complete control of the crowed. So I would just like to say to up and coming DJ’s out there, it’s not always your mix but the song you play and how you play it. The right song played the right way will always move crowed!!

The mixes that are uploaded on here fall into these categories: PEACHY - a blend of new and recent vocal house grooves with lots of soul and flavours of jazz, funk and disco, together with various recent radio shows with similar playlists. As from 2017, I host a monthly show, as part of Collective Souls, on Boogie Bunker Radio. REPLAY - Old Skool house circa 1988 to 1993 – mainly Italo piano house with a few UK and USA flavours recorded from 2005 to the present day. I always like playing tunes from that era that are unknown or never played in the UK when released. It satisfies my craving to break `new` tunes – even though many are now around 20 years old. I also own a small record label by this name that specialises in legally reissuing Italian piano house classics.

Andrea Fiorino, born in 1979, is most popular today for his radio show Mastermix broadcast on more than 30 radio stations worldwide at the moment and also for his obsession with mashups and bootlegs - he made more than 100 of them to the present some of which are highlighted and played by the big names on the house scene like Frankie Knuckles, Grant Nelson, DJ Meme or Jask. I started Dj in in the middle 90’s after graduate from Specs Howard a friend of my got me into it Alisa Berry is her name to be exact. I have had a deep love for music since childhood with Mom singing and Dad playing with the saxophone she being a homemaker and pop an Air traffic Controller this meant I grew up with an eclectic background in music from Jazz, Soul, To Rock and roll My Dad’s favorite group is Cheep Trick . . lol. Not from Detroit born in Milwaukee WI. I moved around a lot because of my fathers Job, but I mostly grew up in Detroit a product of the Detroit Public School system “Redford High School to be exact “Go Huskies.” In High School and College where I became a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity house music was everywhere and I loved it. I remember after I crossed we heard my Frat brother Kevin Saunderson drop “Good Life” at an EMU party. I remember the music Institute and still have the flier from the three-day closing! House music has been a main stay in my life. I have produce podcast The Jazz Suite and Gospel Jazz Podcast for more than 6 years I’ve hosted internet radio show Treasures from grandpa’s attic and The Chris Kelly Show for SVMIX internet radio. I still do a Soul podcast called Getting-it-in Soul it has always been about the music. My business partner convinced me this year to start Djing in front of an audience again and I love it!!! I choose the name Dj J.Squared is a homage to my mother who passed away in 2004. My nickname growing up was J.J. because I’m named after my father so to pay homage to the woman who introduced me to all that I love about music so Dj J.Squared was born. Jordan Fitzsimmons is a young DJ with a fanatical passion for deep, soulful, jackin’ House music and it’s a sound that he plays all over the North East where he lives. Jordan’s past gigs include ‘Souldeep’, ‘Strictly Headshots’, ‘Haze’ and ‘Modify’. After appearing in SSW’s Goldmine Room on numerous occassions, we thought it was about time Jordan got a chance to spin in the Pressure Point, after all he has been one of the most travelled Goldmine guys to share the decks with fellow Goldmine DJs as a guest at their events. He has travelled to Edinburgh and Glasgow to guest for both ‘Souljack’ and ‘Mondo Loco’ where his M.A.W., Chandler, Phil Asher, Migs And ‘Trouble’ Anderson influenced sets went down a storm. He currently promotes ‘Funk Essential’, which is proving to be yet another big night for him in the North East. If you are into the mo’ soulful side of House, Jordan Fitzsimmons is a purist and master of this genre and it’s a set not to be missed at any cost.
