I have been involved in music literally all my life. Starting from the source, born into the family business of Latin Percussion(LP) the world leader in Afro-Cuban percussion musical instruments later the final step, curating music in a nightclub I owned. My family’s home was a musical dreamland, frequented by musical luminaries, Patato Valdez, Tito Puente, even Dizzy Gillespie, the list is endless. Bembe’s in the basement smoking through the night were not uncommon. At the age of 15 years I engineered a record album Carlos Patato Valdes “Bata Y Rumba”. My years dedicated to the family business, had me focusing on the details of sound. I was enamored with R&D, the idea that a musical instrument I invented would be enjoyed by millions of people around the world captured my soul. In 1995 I got involved in Soulful House, I embraced this new music and found my “sound”, soulful, percussive, interesting song structures with strong African and Latin influences. www.fb.me/WayneDeepSoul

(R.I.P.) ; Came back to Texas and Some how wound up at the Winter Music Conference in 2001( Havent been the same since) I got the opportunity to visit the Shelter in NYC 2002 LOST ;MY ;MIND! House Is Life and i am addicted Been collecting music for 36 years and very proud of my vinyl collection from the 80's/90's. In my opinion the 80's was the best time for music and left me inspired by the great musicians and artists who left a legacy behind and music is still influenced by those heroes. Not afraid to experiment with sounds and always searching the globe for something a little different, and if recent releases don't cater for my needs, then there is always the archives. My Listening Genre's - House, Soulful House, Deep House, Afro House, Jazz House, Latin House, Tribal House, Lounge, Nu-Jazz, Soul, RNB, D&B, Garage, 2 Step. Music has always been my pastime and enjoyed the occasional gigs and live sets, but never really took my passion to the next level. Life is kinda hectic and faded out of the scene for a considerable time but now back to basics doing what i enjoy, pretty serious about my music and hope that i can spread some joy along the way...love peace and prosperity to all. I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music. ATTENTION! Please be aware I no longer post mixes on house-mixes. If you have happened to have recently discovered me or listened to me before, you can find me still posting mixes on soundcloud & mixcloud. Been spinning since 88 and after a 10yr absence I returned a few years back to start mixing again. Before my "retirement", I played at a number of clubs and had residencies at the "infamous" Legends in Old Burlington St and at the Emporium in Soho. I currently mix for fun, but if the right opportunity presented itself Imight be interested in playing out again. My style of mixing is (I like to think) smooth, Itry to take the listener on a rhythmical adventure / journey. I particularly enjoy creating something between the mixes (when possible!) rather than simply going from deck to deck, so if you find yourself; a) loving the tunes, b) having an irresistable urge to dance and c) then realise you haven`t got a clue which tune you`re listening to, then I`m doing my job. My musical style usually falls into 3 categories; deep,soulful or nu disco but always funky. Would love to hear your comments on my mixes, don`t be shy.
