As far back as i can remember about 23 years ago when i was 13/14 i started listening to the oldskool/Happyhardcore tunage , as a few years went by , i started havin the love for the HappyHardcore vibe and since then i wanted to get myself my 1st set of decks , but... never kind of happened . From all the tunes that was made and played , some of them top DJ'S inspired me such as DJ SY , DOUGAL , RAMOS , SLIPMAT , RATTPACK , FORCE AND STYLES , VIBES AND LIVELEE and so on and so on , to many super stars to mention . as the years went by , i got older obviously but kinda leavin the scene coz of work , kids etc . Eventually i started gettin back into the scene as i couldnt leave the sounds of the hardcore , It felt like it was apart of my life , but now it is , PROPER !!!! over the years again , i was gettin older and started to think more about getting my 1st set of decks . So as from April 2009 , i got my 1st set of Gemini DD's and borrowed a few vinyl from a mate of mine (Tony Merlin) and started havin a mess about , Didnt think anymore of it , just wanted the fun and the buzz of wanting to be a dj wanna be lol . after 6months of my 1st ever purchase of my decks , i recorded my 1st mix in october 09 . and that gave me over 80 downloads in 2 weeks lol . i didnt think it was bad myself for a virgin in the mixin scene . In febuary 2010 , i dropped on my 1st radio show and got a slot onhttp://www.the-underground.co.uk/ , then i got a slot on Narcoticradio , then Diehard radio , A sunday player on kraftyradio , slot onwww.Dancetransmission.com , http://www.x-treme-energy.co.uk/ .loads to mention but no room ... Over the months of 2010 , i kinda got better in mixin but with loadsa clangs here n there etc lol , i was actually asked by x-treme-energy-events if i could play a set for them at the plug in brum on 25th Sept 2010 , of course i took the chance even though i never thought id be out there mixin the tunage , another bookin from x-treme was in line aswell , then another , all within a few months , and appreciation is goin out to those who has supported me over the years . loads of bookings in since 2010 , with radios and events . respect to you all and many thanks for giving me that chance .I only started mixin for the laugh but its took me further than what i expected , in such a short time .. hope things work out for me lol ;) .. Way back when he was a small child his ambition to have a good collection of music started when his second ever record purchased was, Jack and chill - The Jack That House Built, (do you want to know what the first record was?) Ok Ok, The frog Chorus. He then went on to buying more classic vinyls with other friends at a little shop in Salisbury called Phoenix Records, this shop was the best for finding classic albums like all the Chicago House, Detroit Techno, Acid House E.t.c albums about back then, at about the age of fifteen Jinx then moved on to cassette tape mixing, which (if any of you know) is quite tricky to do, but when you got in to it the rewards are quite fruitful. He then went on to mixing the very hard way, using two separate cheap record players, with no pitch, no decent stylus's, no mixer, he just used the volume controllers on each record player to fade each track in and out. JinxC's (then known as Indulgence, yes the promoter gave him his first name) first booking came just before he was 18 years old, playing in Salisbury's Legendary Concordes nightclub, this venue put Salisbury on the raving map and is still close to many a Salisbury raver /clubber's heart even though the place shut down many years ago. JinxC’ formerly known as DJ ‘Vitamin C’, started mixing when he was 15 years old back in 1990, playing Hardcore & Jungle.Jinx in the early days was recognised as more of a free party DJ but went on to grace the turntables just about everywhere in Salisbury including largeevents held at Salisbury Arts Centre and Salisbury Leisure Centre. He has also played out at clubs such as Chaplins; Enzos; The Gallery; Po Na Na; Tremor; The Barn; The Trinity Centre; Flabbergast NYE 2006 In Ipswich and For ‘Firewall’ on the 26th of August 2007 in Bridgewater at the Palace Nightclub and many more other places located around the Salisbury area. Jinx also helped organise a DJ workshop called Bass Connection and was also one of the founders, he trained young people to mix records. playing on http://www.audiobunker.co.uk every wednesday 18-00-20-00 gmt Started djing in clubs and radio in about 92 playing on trance fm 105.4 playin old techno and hardcore and some drum and bass i managed to get to play at some smashing clubs and other stations in the 90's playin drum and bass i ended up on interface pirate-radio.co.uk which was i believe the first station of its kind and found it my second home playing alongside wonder and rip sean the mc stretch you could often find me at the jazz bistro where i used to play monthly alongside mad ash and junior buzz Have always kept the old faithfulls technics hence all the old school mixes i have now entered the digital age and invested in some cdj s so expect some fresh sounds i am also trying to learn the ableton program so i can start producing its been a long learning curve and hopefully wont be too long until i finish a track which im happy with had a pretty fun 2013 had the pleasure of playing at jungle splash twice played closing set at rewind played at encapsulated energy twice revolution and also pirate club twice hoping 2014 continues with last years step up hope you enjoy and thanks for listening
