Music has alway been a big part of my life both in the good and not so good times, and the trials and tribulations of what has been life to date. Being an 80's kid I grew up listening to the likes of the The Police, Duran Duran, Erasure, Pet Shop Boys, Spandau Ballet, Gloria Estafan. During my early teens my musical tastes took a dramatic shift when I developed a tatse for Rock and Heavy Metal music listening to bands such as Bon Jovi,Queen, White Snake, Metallica, Guns N Roses, Skid Row & Iron Maiden. I first got introduced to the EDM scene in 93 whilst on Easter leave from the Royal Navy, when a mate took me to a club (The Venue) in my home town of Spennymoor, that was doing all nighters(these were proper all nighters 10pm till 10am) and I was hooked. The DJs were playing out prodomenately Italo House/Dance and I was fortunate enough to see some absolutely class PA's during my time going there. These included Ultrasonic, Q-Tex, QFX, Shades of Rythme, Rythme Response, Dimension, JK, Clock to name but a few. Unfortunately summer 95 saw the demise of the club after an arson attack, which left the building unsafe and it had to be pulled down(sad times) but as they say life goes on. I also enjoyed the time spent at Club Lucy's, The Colleseum(Stockton) and the Top Hat(Spennymoor). Alas finally My career as a chef took me to away from the North East which when I was first introduced to House music. After a major health scare in early 2004, it made me realise how precious and how fragile life is, as well as bringing my career as a chef to a close(1 of the hardest decision to date I've had to make). With a desire to bridge creative gap caused by leaving my chefing career behind it was pretty obvious that my passion for music was the way forward to making that possible. In 2009 I bought my first set up and spent the best part of early 2009 perfecting the basics of beat matching and mix construction. After a long google search September '09 looking for sites similar to HM it threw up the link for HM itself and I joined the site and as they say "the rest is history". Although I've now been mixing for 2 1/2 years I'm still learning new things to bring to my mixes and believe that the learning proccess will never end. I've also learnt a great deal from listening to other DJ's/Artist mixes here on HM and 1 person stands out more thn others, Disfunktional DJs both in terms of the quality of his mixes and his own music. I use a combination of both analague and digital set up's and have some strong opinions on the "ongoing" debate about the use of analogue and digital set ups. I have a very understated attitude towards my work and never "big up my mixes" I honestly don't see the point, I would rather the music, track selection and my mixes speak for themselves. I'm also my own worst critic and a huge perfectionist which can sometimes be my own downfall. Finally a huge thanks to everyone who has taken the time to listen and comment on my mixes massive respect to you all. As is the title of a Tim Delux Track; "Let The Beat's Roll" Peace & Respect
