Originating from sunny Bournemouth town and loving every second of dj life down on the UK South Coast is XJ. A passionate and meticulous dj whose pin point precision mixing, together with sensational tune selection has his crowds up and glued to the dance floor. XJ applies his sharp and seamless style predominantly to Drum & Bass, House, Trance and Hard Dance, but also enjoys the challenge of dabbling in other genres. XJ has had music running through his veins since birth and began getting more closely involved with music at the age of 13 when he picked up the mic and tried his hand at being an mc. After a few years on the mic XJ had the urge to mix and started messing around on a few of his friends decks. He then became a family man at an early age so XJ took some time out from the music scene and in 2005, he finally acquired his own setup. After a couple of years playing his vinyl at every chance he could get, XJ was ready to play out in his home town. He got involved with some local events and played at several Bournemouth hot spots including The Old Fire Station, Empire, Dusk till Dawn and DNA. When XJ attended university in 2010 he met a few like-minded dance music enthusiasts and together they launched their first drum and bass event Fracture in Bournemouth at the club Dusk Till Dawn. After the success of this event XJ’s passion and drive grew and the rest is history. His monthly residency at SoHo has become a regular hot spot for the local, house hungry bar hoppers. In 2017 XJ toured around Ibiza for his debut on the clubbing island, supporting the Parasol Ibiza Tour in association with Darkest Before Dawn Records. In 2018 he took his skills and sound to Ayia Napa as a resident DJ for Ayia Napa House Party hosted by House Party Events, along with house legend Junior Jack and 48 other national and international djs. In 2019 XJ returned to Ayia Napa with House Party Events alongside his fellow residents and up and coming djs Craig Knight, Franky Wah and Hot like Detroit. Next up in June 2019 will be XJs first festival slot, Home Farm Fest in Somerset, followed by his next summer booking at the largest festival in Wales: Logic Festival. The next step for XJ is production so watch this space! Welcome to my page, hope you will enjoy it! Chris Mageras aka DJ Alex was born on 10/16/1966 in Athens. His first steps in music dj like I did at the age of 17. It was the golden age of disco music. Buying 2 Technics turntables He took mixing techniques. It was difficult at first because there was no suitably technical infrastructure that exists today. There was also the vinyl they purchase many MAXI singles. Began working in various cafes and derive experience. As the years passed I listened, I began to grow. Basically the music always choices were mainstream music. Now the music choices are Tech House .. Latin House ... Tribal House ... Deep House ... and generally it has to do with House Music. The Beatfreeks birth name is John Pleece and he was born on the eve of July, and is currently residing in the leafy suburbs of Surrey, United Kingdom. He was introduced to music at a fairly young age, when John was growing up his Dad used to play bass guitar, write and perform backing vocals in his own band, also his Dad used to be part of a DJ duo, playing out at weddings and parties and John helped out with the setting up of the rig, and this is how The Beatfreeks story began. John has been mixing records for near enough 14 years now and he is a self-taught vinyl DJ, originally mixing Drum & Bass, Techno and Trance, and although The Beatfreek is still a vinyl connoisseur at heart, he felt that is was time to make the switch over to a digital DJ set up. The Beatfreek has also been known under other aliases such as Psyvibes, DJ JT and Jonny P. Under his Jonny P moniker, he had held various radio residencies with regular live shows per week. It was tough to keep to the schedule but his drive, determination and a passion for fresh music kept him going, you could say that music was his drug of choice. The Beatfreek also Co-founded, Co-owned a digital only record label: Thee Unknown Recordings, and he also ran his own internet radio station too. Finally he ran his digital record label alongside Tyler Deveneaux and in later days Solace One, but due to personal issues beyond their control the label was eventually dis-banded. Label History: Thee Unknown Recordings was a digital only record label, releasing electronic music in various dance music genres. The project was originally thought up way back in late 2008 by two friends Tyler Deveneux, and Jonny Teknotik (who would later be re-named Jonny P). These two friends had shared a mutual interest in countless music genres, so it made perfect sense that these two friends eventually formed a musical partnership. When Thee Unknown Recordings was in it`s fledgling year they were simply named Thee Unknown. Thee Unknown was the chosen persona of the duo's musical partnership, with Tyler supplying the duos tracks and Jonny was the duos DJ, DJing under the name Jonny P, and playing out live with residencies on various radio stations. The duos passion for fresh music grew, and they decided to branch out and approach budding producers with the intention to set up their own record label, and this is how Thee Unknown Recordings was born. Present Day: After his record label and radio station closed it's doors, The Beatfreek has thrown himself back into his mixing. He now concentrates on experimenting and mixing with Hard Trance, Techno, Drum & Bass, and all things psychedelic. On a final note Jonny has also ventured into the world of producing, producing Drum & Bass and Techno, and is also the Co-Owner and in-house DJ of a new experimental record label: THB Records which he now runs with his brother. Marco was born in 1977. He was raised in Edinburgh Scotland's capital city brought up on a diet of clubs and raves and the free party seen, Marco’s first real break came in the late 90’s when he entered the Vestax DJ Mixing Competition which he was runner up in the contest, this raised his profile amongst local promoters. Which lead to him being offered a number of gigs, some of which became residencies, around his home town of Edinburgh and various other towns and Cities in Scotland this also led to him supporting artist like Mr C, Kenny Larkin, Larry Heard, Marshall Jefferson, Robert Owens, Mathew Herbert, Felix The Housecat, Seb Fontaine, Jim Shaft Ryan, Murray Richardson and Timo Mass. Marco's rise from total obscurity has been achieved due to his natural ability, genuine enthusiasm, and his constant desire to improve his craft.Technical excellence is very important to Marco, so when he is not playing out you will find him practicing, mixing and experimenting with various styles, endeavouring to constantly improve his already very impressive D.J. capabilities. Marco describes his sound as Mainroom Groovy Business a bit of tech a bit of house which meet in the middle some where and the outcome is magical , he mixes in a style that moves and grabs any dance floor, no matter what direction he chooses to take it, once he has captured you with his inventive style there is no escape until he has spun his last tune .Coming straight from the dance floor, Marco knows instinctively what it is a crowd wants, and how to deliver it, his genuine love for music is abundantly clear. Marco plays out more of a funky techy sound but holds a love for deep house , disco, funk , anything with a groove really .... also there are no laptops or retouch to any of my mixs these are all done on 2 decks and a mixer.
