If there are DJs who know the electronic genre, then Barel is one of them. It was obvious even at music school, that music would play an important role in his life. In the early ‘90s he was spinning LPs in different clubs as the host. It did not take a long time to become successful. He was nearly 20 when he got a resident job at the country’s former top club, the Magic Club in Beled, where he became the main character of the several-thousand-participant events week by week. Then he was consciously dealing with the line of electronic music. The DJ, popular in many places, with 15 years of experience, has played together with the genre’s greats several times. Anthony Pappa, James Zabiela, Satoshi Tomiie, Lee Burridge, Dave Seaman, just a few of the ones with whom he has already played with, and, he has also played several times with almost everyone from the Hungarian first rank. We could meet his name in several clubs in Hungary in the last 15 years. Barel is a DJ whose style cannot be defined easily, in his performances there is deeper, thoughtful as well as progressive music. It is obvious that his great sets are built up with close attention to the audience. He is always looking for challenges, constantly changing; there are no identical sets. He is deeply influenced by the site where he performs. His spontaneity is increasing with the reaction of the audience. Barel’s real attraction is that he plays music by heart; therefore it is almost impossible to become tired of the musical performance that he represents. His main purpose is to entertain his audience on a high level.
