I started mixing in the 90s playing mostly jungle/dnb, move along 30+years and my musical tastes have widened immensely. Now although im no pro, just an old raver at heart who loves mixing music. Born and raised in the South of London, Mista Matthews (formerly known as 99dB), started his musical journey when he was just 11 years old, when he discovered a Drum & Bass record collection belonging to his Dad. It was at this moment that Franz knew he wanted to be part of 'The Scene'. He first became interested in the UK Garage music scene in 2001. In 2002, his Mum and Dad bought his first set of turntables. By the time he was 13 years old, he was already receiving his first club gigs. He did various warm up sets in clubs hosting major names such as DJ EZ, Matt Jam Lamont, Norris Da Boss and many more. It was after this point when he started getting gigs at various venues abroad including clubs in Spain & Cyprus. living life to the max and loving it. ok so heres my story. about 30 years ago i went clubbing all by myself, sad!! i hear you say but not really is my answer as i loved what Djs done and wanted to do it. At first i used 2 portable cd players and a mixer that did not work out so well lol. i then upgraded to cdj's paid loads of money but still felt as if my work was lacking in areas my beat mixing was way off and i had high and low tracks which sounded quite bad in the mix. i then had some lessons in beat mixing which helped me loads. i joined up to house-mixes and met some very helpful people there who help me loads with my mixes im still very critical of my own work and always mix on the fly. i pay for all my tracks as i thank the ones who made them. i will give you my work for free so if you want a mix, message me and i will hook you up free of charge đ my fav quote: its better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. respectđ

He's back... Hailing from Denver, Dj Double 00... started his Dj career in 1998. Holding residencies at The Church, Club Vinyl, Bash, The Deadbeat Club, Club Synergy and various raves and guest sets in clubs all over Colorado. After many years of adulting he had an opportunity to be part of a special birthday event for my wife. So in early 2020 he decided to dust off the 1200's and reminisce on the classics. With the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic that party was no longer an option. With love and support of his wife and children he once again found a desire to get back to the music.

He made his first tentative forays into the music world in the punk era of the late 70s. After singing with a few anarcho punk bands, during which he gigged around the UK and appeared on vinyl a few times in the early-mid 80s with Hex, he acquired a cheap synth/keyboard just in time for the acid-house Summer of Love, and began making underground electronic music. His tunes were inspired by the techno end of the early house scene (Model 500 etc.), the trippy psychedelia heâd grown to love (Gong, Hillage, Hawkwind, Hendrix, Zappa, Led Zep etc.) and the harder edge of his old political punk favourites (Crass, Conflict, Subhumans, Flux of Pink Indians etc.), and he went on to DJ at a few parties in the early 90s when he was heavily into the rave/old-skool-hardcore scene (before it lost the dark breaks vibe and became all âhappyâ), but was unable to pursue mixing/production very far back then due to âadverseâ circumstances. In the mid 90s he took a change of direction and got into writing. He moved to Crewe for 2 years of a Humanities degree at a faculty of Manchester Met Uni, majoring in Creative Writing, with an elective in Film Studies (which influenced his next change of direction), where he enjoyed a spell of performing poetry (as he had done in Hex as well as singing) before he was kicked out for partying too much. In the late 90s, after a couple of lean years back in Sunderland, he moved to Leeds where he graduated from the Northern Film School and was involved in the making of numerous films, including his own feature-lengthed documentary âNo Blood for Oilâ, which documented the protests leading up to, and during the 2nd Gulf War with Iraq: Crass donated 2 tracks free of charge to a film that he lovingly crafted the soundtrack for with electronic music from his old Sunderland friend in Leeds, Steve Brown. It headlined the Leeds International Film Festival underground film event in 2001(?). In the mid-late ânoughtiesâ, he returned to the music scene to make live gig videos for local acts/venues/promoters to use on-line. Then he began making underground electronic music again, using his cinematic skills to make his own no-budget âpromoâ vids. Close friends with local punk/ska/dub/hip-hop/d&b outfit China Shop Bull (then Fulibulbus), he went on tour with them to make a feature-lengthed tour documentary, and followed it up with several others. In 2010, he signed up with Putz Records of Rio de Janeiro for the electronic release of his âQuantum Quandaryâ minimal techno EP, and signed a contract for a feature film script he canât say anything more about until it goes into production. As well as producing, DJing, filmmaking, and writing, he promotes gigs for local music-related community causes (Unity Day, RPCC, Oblong, Cloth Cat), and helps run the weekly Fenton Boogie open-mic/jam at The Fenton, Leeds. His recent musical output encapsulates numerous genres/sub-genres: hard, minimal and acid techno, tech-house, old/nu skool and ambient breaks, d&b/jungle, dubstep, dark and dirty electro, etc. The 2 tracks from the EP can be bought via Juno downloads, whilst up to now, and a couple are on compilation Lps, the rest of his 160+ tracks and mixes are all available on-line as free downloads.

Started DJ'ing when I was 15 years old in a small house on the Southwest side of Chicago, Went to Catholic schools all my life so I didn't get out much. That gave me time to practice on the wheels of steel and improve my skills. Once I was ready, I started to do house parties and then progressed to big Halls and Competitions. Finally I got the chance to Dj at night clubs. I'm up in age now and I just do it for fun, but Dj'ing is like riding a bike. Once you learn how to do it, it stays with you forever and you just get better over time like a fine wine...

The most sweetest, caring chick I've ever met. ;I entered the dance scene or rave scene when I was about 19. Now ever since, this MUSIC has been a part of my life and will now always be.
