He was born in South Africa and with South Africa as his homeland, he was influenced by the rhythmic sounds of drums. The genres he plays are Tribal, Tech, Latin and Deep House. His influences comes from Dj's like Chus, David Herrero, Robbie Taylor, David Penn, Rob Mirage, Coqui Selection. Besides these Dj's he gets his insperation from people like DJ Culoe De Song and local people in South Africa. In the mixtapes you hear the influences by the many different kinds of house music. H. Mendus wants to satisfy his audience by surprising them with his unique sound. In the future he wants to start producing. One of his dreams is to make music with local people in South Africa. Welcome to my page, hope you will enjoy it! Chris Mageras aka DJ Alex was born on 10/16/1966 in Athens. His first steps in music dj like I did at the age of 17. It was the golden age of disco music. Buying 2 Technics turntables He took mixing techniques. It was difficult at first because there was no suitably technical infrastructure that exists today. There was also the vinyl they purchase many MAXI singles. Began working in various cafes and derive experience. As the years passed I listened, I began to grow. Basically the music always choices were mainstream music. Now the music choices are Tech House .. Latin House ... Tribal House ... Deep House ... and generally it has to do with House Music. His Dj name comes from his profession; Neon crafter and tubular glassblower (one of the 14 in The Netherlands) & electric signmaker. He's a Dj of the 1st-generation. Dj Neonglass made his first steps in mixing on age 14 (1977),before that he was a "talking Dj" (compared with a "radio Dj'', as many Dj's where in that days) He was “working” with some friends every friday evening on a Drive-inn disco, called “Disco Skylab” in a youth centre called: “Openluchtschool” (O.L.S)”, in The Hague. They also had an illegal F.M Radio stations called “Skylab Radio, Skyline Radio,Tempo Radio”. Then he saw in a local disco called “De Marathon” the Dj mix two records together. Fortunately one of his friends knew more about mixing.He started mixing with 2 MARANTZ record players with pitch-control. Inspired by his discovery,he began to create customised pause button mixes on his big reeel taperecorder (later cassette) as he realised that certain records could be made more suitable for the dance floor, if they wen given a slight twist of extension. At the age of 16 he was asked to play at several Clubs as a guest Dj. Mixing was in that time very special and also all Clubs had "talking Dj's" in that time. One of his friends he “worked” in the Drive-inn Disco with is now known as Atlantic Ocean a.k.a Dj Lex van Coeverden (World Hit Single Waterfall & Waterfall 2009). In 1984 he stopped mixing, so he had time to found his own Neonsign- factory. After 24 years not being mixing and Dj-ing, he took some Mixing lessons in youthcentre “BAZART” also located on the grounds of the former O.L.S, the place where it in 1977 all began. When he’s started his Mixing lessons,he noticed that there was a lot of changed in the DJ equipment. He decided to quit mixing with vinyl and go for the new technological tools now like mixing with 2 CD players with pitchcontrol. Nowerday's he's a Resident Dj @ several radio stations. He has not much in the bio except for the love of music. He is Cape Town born and bred in the disco era. A love of music has made it possible for him to grow into crossing the genre boudary. Although his love remains in the disco and soul genres, he expanded into many sub genres which now includes tech house, latin and afro house and even so much as melodic house and techno at times. Residing in the Netherlands for the past 14 years and fully adapted to a different culture and lifestyle and music genres. If anything can unite people it is MUSIC!
