I started DJing at the age of 18, when my mother asked me if I want a driving licence for my birthday or a record player - I decided for the record player ☺ My idols were and are Todd Terry, Westbam, Gary D., Paul Oakenfold, Steve "Silk" Hurley, Tyree Cooper, Matthias Heilbronn and many others. I spinned "live" at a few parties and at some clubs. I love all types of music, so I spinned "Salsa and Merengue" for a few years too - love the Latin vibe. I started deejaying when I was 14 years old. I remember my brother buying Technics 101. Then after he the famous 12 hundreds. The turntable we're and still to this day one of the best turntables that the Technics have ever brought out. I started spinning vinyl at an early age. One of my first DJ competitions was a roller skating rink called, USA. I was a mobile DJ for many year and then I started getting gig's doing Holiday floats for the radio station Hot 97 FM in New York City. I think it that it was a huge success in my part. I then started deejaying in a lot of unknown Clubs. Then I started going a lot famous club back then. All I know is that the best way to listen new and upcoming music was to be surrounded in all types of Clubs. There was a club to be in everyday of the week. I met many successful D jays like, Little Louie Vega, Roger Sanchez, Freddy Turner etc. One day my cousin got a break in the Copacabana. His name is Jason Hernandez. We were always a Team. We spun there for a few years at world famous Copacabana (the original one). Then I worked in record co, Dig- IT International (Irma USA). Then I got married and played in a few more Clubs. Now i'm spinning in parties and I still get the crowd Jumping!

ATTENTION! Please be aware I no longer post mixes on house-mixes. If you have happened to have recently discovered me or listened to me before, you can find me still posting mixes on soundcloud & mixcloud. Been spinning since 88 and after a 10yr absence I returned a few years back to start mixing again. Before my "retirement", I played at a number of clubs and had residencies at the "infamous" Legends in Old Burlington St and at the Emporium in Soho. I currently mix for fun, but if the right opportunity presented itself Imight be interested in playing out again. My style of mixing is (I like to think) smooth, Itry to take the listener on a rhythmical adventure / journey. I particularly enjoy creating something between the mixes (when possible!) rather than simply going from deck to deck, so if you find yourself; a) loving the tunes, b) having an irresistable urge to dance and c) then realise you haven`t got a clue which tune you`re listening to, then I`m doing my job. My musical style usually falls into 3 categories; deep,soulful or nu disco but always funky. Would love to hear your comments on my mixes, don`t be shy. Click "Follow" and i will send you a notification (only) when i post a new mix. Don`t worry i do not notify as to what i am eating or watching on tv ala Facebook. Ciao mi chiamo Piero Cossu, seguo la Musica Funk dalla fine degli anni 70 grazie ad una radio locale che trasmetteva nella piccola cittadina dove vivevo, Radio "E" dove la "E" sta per Explosion . All'età di 15 anni mi sono appassionato al mondo della discoteca continuando ad ascoltare oltre al Funk anche il Rock , scegliendo dopo qualche anno ed escursioni sonore il Soul ed il Jazz . Il mondo della disco mi ha catturato fondendo nella nascente House tutti i suoni che avevano caratterizzato gli ascolti della mia infanzia. Comincio ad ascoltare i primi Dj della capitale Romana all'epoca il Mitico Marco Trani , Francesco Borgese e Claudio Cataldi che preferivo ad altri . Da loro ascolto la tecnica di fusione dei vari brani il Mixaggio. Da allora dopo aver passato più di 15 anni nei club prima come cliente poi come Dj la passione non è cambiata e rimane più viva che mai. The world of the disk has captured me melting in the dawning House all the sounds that had characterized the listening of my infancy. I was born in 1963 in Liege ( Belgium ) and i djing since 1979. I organized different party's with friends and we had a lot of fun. In 1980 i had my chance to play in clubs and i started to mix like crasy my favorite music FUNK ( Melba Moore, Evelyn King , Glen Jones , D-Train , Zapp , Cameo , Brass construction , Earth Wind and Fire , Kashif , Michael Jackson , Oliver Cheateam , One Way , Sos Band , Mtume , George Benson , Luther Vandross , Reddings, Lakeside , Pleasure, Whispers , Kurtis Blow , Sugarill Gang , James Brown and the JB's ...and many others ) ; I have about 6000 records , they are like gold to me. In 1985 , i moved in The Netherlands to play in a club called The Dj Inn in Maastricht and i had a great time and lots of friends. I felt so good there that i refused to play in Spain , Paris , Italy and U.S.A In 1991 i decided to stop to play in clubs because it was for me a bad musical time. I still played at special disco funk events and in my garage , you have to know that i stand op with music and i go sleep with music... and my wife... I restarted in 2001 with a dutch disco group , we used to play everywhere in The Netherlands. Now i enjoy a lot to mix again. I like to play different music , jazz funk ( Rachelle Ferrel , Marcus Miller , Bob James , Anita Baker , Shante Moore , Groover Washington ) ; Since 2 years i used to mix soulful house witch is for me actually the best dance music... ( Groove Junkies , Kenny Bobien , Cece Rogers , Michelle Weeks , Barbara Tucker , Kathy Brown , Candy Williams , Miguel Migs , Indigo ... and many others ). It was only 'till he got messing with some MP3 mixing software (Atomix)...........then caught the bug. Instead of going down the electronic route he managed to grab some dirt-cheap Technics SL-1210 Mk3 decks & SH-DJ1200 mixer (for a bargain £500) and was soon trawling the record shops of London and eBay tracking down those rare-as-rockinghorse-sh*t tunes! Over time (and £££s spent!) he has built up a vast & extensive collection of the very best Old Skool Garage nostalgic tunes from 1997-2002; he likes to call this the 'Golden Era'. Many, many hours of practise behind the decks gave him the skills and confidence to take the plunge and jet out to Laganas, Zante in 2005 for the entire summer to share his talent. There, he immediately gained residency in Wackabout/Sabotage Club and also DJ'd guest nights at Amnesia Nightclub, Club Black & White and Footprint Beach Bar. Since his return he has played out at various bars/clubs and private functions around London & Surrey such as Wimbledon, Croydon and Clapham. Apart from Old Skool Garage, he specialises in and Funky/Disco/Electro House which has mainly been driven by his passion for anything Hed Kandi – he owns a massive collection of their CD compilations dating back since 2004. His funky house collection on vinyl ranges from 1999-Present though! Donny always has the crowd in mind and endeavours to give them what they want to hear. He loves to know his music inside-out so can drop tunes at the perfect spot to keep them jumping all night. Music-wise he is pretty versatile; he can also mix Trance and Drum & Bass. His partner in crime Mike Chadwick is also somewhat of a master around the decks who specialises in HipHip and R&B of all years so, together will always have something in their boxes for the masses! I live in Barcelona..I love music..I'm very influed by Black Music..Rhythm and Blues, Acid Jazz, and of course Soulful and Vocal House..It all started about 20yrs ago when the Acid House scene started, then I went on a Holiday to Ibiza where i enjoyed summer nights dancing music.. I started to mix as a hobby and it's still a hobby..I'm a business man but I always try to find time to discover new tracks for my following sessions..
