Originating from sunny Bournemouth town and loving every second of dj life down on the UK South Coast is XJ. A passionate and meticulous dj whose pin point precision mixing, together with sensational tune selection has his crowds up and glued to the dance floor. XJ applies his sharp and seamless style predominantly to Drum & Bass, House, Trance and Hard Dance, but also enjoys the challenge of dabbling in other genres. XJ has had music running through his veins since birth and began getting more closely involved with music at the age of 13 when he picked up the mic and tried his hand at being an mc. After a few years on the mic XJ had the urge to mix and started messing around on a few of his friends decks. He then became a family man at an early age so XJ took some time out from the music scene and in 2005, he finally acquired his own setup. After a couple of years playing his vinyl at every chance he could get, XJ was ready to play out in his home town. He got involved with some local events and played at several Bournemouth hot spots including The Old Fire Station, Empire, Dusk till Dawn and DNA. When XJ attended university in 2010 he met a few like-minded dance music enthusiasts and together they launched their first drum and bass event Fracture in Bournemouth at the club Dusk Till Dawn. After the success of this event XJ’s passion and drive grew and the rest is history. His monthly residency at SoHo has become a regular hot spot for the local, house hungry bar hoppers. In 2017 XJ toured around Ibiza for his debut on the clubbing island, supporting the Parasol Ibiza Tour in association with Darkest Before Dawn Records. In 2018 he took his skills and sound to Ayia Napa as a resident DJ for Ayia Napa House Party hosted by House Party Events, along with house legend Junior Jack and 48 other national and international djs. In 2019 XJ returned to Ayia Napa with House Party Events alongside his fellow residents and up and coming djs Craig Knight, Franky Wah and Hot like Detroit. Next up in June 2019 will be XJs first festival slot, Home Farm Fest in Somerset, followed by his next summer booking at the largest festival in Wales: Logic Festival. The next step for XJ is production so watch this space! DJ Kidd Kurrupt was born on Dec 8,1987 in LaPlata Maryland.At the tender age of ten I started dj'ing for the very first time in June 1,1998 at a underground reggea bashment an after my first gig I was hooked. I found out at a young age that I had a ear for music and a talent for mixing differnt genres of music like old school hip hop,reggae, and funk. My father was a DJ at the time also and he noticed that I was practicing on the turntables every chance that I got. My father started me off with a few gigs on saturdays at local block parties during the summer time.After a few gigs I started to make a name for myself in the neighborhood as the young kidd that can put it down on the turntables. A few years went by and I, DJ Kidd Kurrupt started to get more shows and a large following in the underground reggeaton scene and techno raves. I soon started to draw hundreds of people to my live sets. One day I met a club promoter while networking at a local mall, the two exchanged numbers and I, DJ Kidd Kurrupt invited him out to watch him perform at a show. When the club promoter saw the way I showed my skills, worked the crowd, and my ablilities with mixing and scratching; he decided to give me- this young and upcoming DJ a chance to spin at one of the biggest dance clubs in Maryland at the time. I play all forms of trance music like uplifting trance, vocal trance,progressive trance and psy trance.I also play wide variety of music such as oldschool/newschool Hiphop, R&B, Soul, Nu-Soul, Funk, Oldies electro, dubstep, Rap, Underground Hiphop, Reggae, Culture Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Culipso, Ragga, Ragga Jungle, tech house and technomusic. I can alos mix it up with Trance, Techno, Dance, Reggeaton, Salsa, Dirty South Rap, and Hindu music! DJ TroubleDee ...Professionell Allround oldschool Mixing DJ My career as a DJ began when I had to step in as a substitute DJ in one of the hippest discos in the region in 1989, as the resident DJs had both canceled due to illness. For the first time I had to play in such a large location and so many people music and prove if I really have DJ talent and I might consider myself in this club a second time as a DJ and angeagiert, or if I will never be booked there as a DJ again. Of course, I took this opportunity as "My Chance" and gave it my best that evening and was able to actually convince the happy dancing party people and the management of the discotheque of my DJ talent. Although during my DJ gig in the mainroom of the discotheque * GOLDEN GATE * during the first 2 hours of excitement I had such shaky hands as never before in my life, that even the managing director was so amused that he grinned personally to me came to the DJ pulpit to bring me alcoholic drinks (Vodka Lemon), with the saying; "Here .. drink that calms your nerves and helps against stage fright" ...LOL So I got in the discotheque Golden-Gate so the solid commitment from there to be the 3rd Resident DJ. More and more frequently, as a DJ, I got the opportunity to make music for a whole party-night and to have the party guests dance to my whistle. In the meantime, I looked at a lot of the older experienced DJs asked a lot, practiced and improved is my MUSIC mixing with the turntables and thus learned more and more. In 1992, I hired as a DJ in the just opened discotheque WayUp. At first there was only one of the flexible replacement DJs since there were already 5 DJs in front of me. Anyway, the management of the discotheque WayUp seemed to have discovered in me great potential in terms of my talent as a DJ. Because more and more often I should now make music on the main days ... etc in short: .. within a 1/2 year I made it from the only 6th violin to the 1st violin of WayUp DJ herachie. Now as the resident DJ number 1 of this club, I now also had the biggest and full responsibility for this one. From now on, I will indicate with which music genres the club will have its success in the future. I can now formally impress the club with "my" DJ stamp by always having the right richer for the right genre and anticipating always the right MUSIC SELECTION in music shopping, which is absolutely crucial for the successful or unsuccessful future career of the discotheque is! This is the greatest trust and responsibility that a discotheque management entrusts to its No.1 resident DJ. Because as everyone knows .. runs in a discotheque constantly only bad music that does not appeal to the guests, then these guests go to another discotheque to dance and party. In addition, something like that speaks very quickly so that fewer and fewer guests come. And fewer and fewer guests means at the same time .... less and less revenue and revenue! No revenue ... means no money to pay for the staff! No revenue ... means: No money to make the necessary purchases. ERGO ... Wrong DJ selection made, as the DJ did not understand week after week to hold guests or by good mouth propaganda new guests in the club location to lure. The discotheque slip thereby unsustainable pay more and more in the red .. and must, ERGO: At some point give up and finally closing and declare bankruptcy. END of the disco So, the Nr1ResidentDJ bears full responsibility for the future of the club: WITH THE MUSIC OF THE DJ, STANDS OR FALLS A CLUB! Today, every resident DJ should be aware of this and not sell himself below value. Because today a lot of club DJs are exploited by the club owners with an outrageous tipping or free drinks as DJ-fee! Today's club operators take advantage of today's DJs absolutely and without shots, by hiring DJs who are making music all night long for 50-150 € just because those DJs are totally unaware of their responsibilities. more than 5 years i was the 1Resident DJ from Disco WayUp. also i was Resident DJ and booking event DJ in much more Clubs : *Octagon *Atlantis *TarmCenterWest *GoldenGate *Amnesia *Pacha *Indigo *Butan *Galaxy ..and other.... in the next year "2019" i have 30 years DJ Experience.
