Dj Zig - Started Dj'ing in 1995 on a set of KAM BDX Belts and a blue dog mixer. since this time in the 90's i played at a few events around scunthorpe which were co-promoted by myself and another friend. The first and subsequent events were called massacre and drew in crowds of about 50-100 people. After about 2000 the scene started to decline and following getting my illness of Non Hodgkins Lymphoma i gave the decks up for about a a few years. Getting back into them in 2003 i started playing more commercial music. however my love of hardcore was still there. in 2008 i secured a residency at a local club in scunthorpe called bar matrix playing a mixture of commercial house, old skool house and ibiza trance. the place used to be rammed to the rafters every week and continued to play at this club for a total of 2 years. i loved playing out here and when the club was eventually taken over by new owners they wanted to take the place in a different direction so i was let go. my love for old skool hardcore is still there but given the opportunity i would play commercial house out anywhere.

BIOGRAPHY Ally Mac is a man who needs little introduction if you have had any contact with the world of Dance music in the last 2 decades. Originating from the coastal town of Ayr, on Scotlands West Coast,and being involved since the age of 17, Djing early Disco and Funk, his inspiration and involvement deepened,with the arrival of “Chicago House” on the Uk’s shore late in 1985, with the result of him organising and playing at large scale club events, bringing legends like Farley Jackmaster Funk,and Darryl Pandy (the early pioneers of the Chicago sound) to venues in Scotland and in doing so helped break house music into the UK very early on and being one of the true pioneers of the UK dance scene. With a name synonimous of “firsts” under his belt, his reputation started to grow, starting with the ground breaking club, “The Videodrome” in Glasgow, hailed as the first specifically built Venue in the World, utilising Video as the Dj’s playback medium, with over 60 large scale TV Monitors to mix on. incorporating early Dance promotional videos and bespoke designed Graphics. Having built up a following around Scotland with his unique sound of house, which still was to become mainstream, He gained legendary residencies in “Toledo Junction” both in Ayr, his home town & Paisley, The Warehouse (Gasgow) Tin Pan Alley (Glasgow) Henri Afrikas (Glasgow) His efforts in music turned to production in the mid nineties, and after gaining a Degree at the globally respected School of Audio Engineering (S.A.E Institute), a career in producing seem to be the logical way for a man who had accomplished all that Djing could throw at him. Ally Mac is the man behind, and responsible for creating , the world renowned hard dance act “ Public Domain”. A band who need no introduction in dance culture, having spawned mammoth hits such as “Operation Blade-Bass in the place London” ....THE biggest selling Dance single of 2001, released on Xtravaganza records / Sony Music' specially launched sister label Xtrahard. Combining some Old Skool Flava and thumping beats, they offered to the world “Rock The Funky Beats”, emerging as the track which helped give Hip Hop mainstream credibility in the worldwide Dance charts.
