MICHAEL VEGH (OC) Soulful House/Tech House Space OC, Dance Music Initiative Michael Vegh has missionary zeal to build the house music scene in South Orange County. For the last decade, his underground dance parties have been legendary as the place where those who do not dance, dance. He took that energy and created SPACE OC, which began in 2015 as a monthly club at OC Tavern in San Clemente, and now continues on the first Friday of each month at Brussels Bistro in Laguna Beach. Michael enjoys dual roles as promoter and resident DJ at most SPACE OC events. SPACE OC has expanded to other venues, and has become a collective of likeminded DJs and music lovers. SPACE OC DJs have played EDC, Coachella, Nocturnal Wonderland and other major festivals. SPACE OC has presented SPACE Camp at YouTopia San Diego, the regional Burning Man Event at the La Jolla Indian Reservation. At the 2017 SPACE Camp, SPACE OC hosted more than 45 DJS on its sound stage over the 4 days from October 19-22, 2017, with hundreds on the dancefloor nightly. Michael has been booked with Shiba San, Mark Farina, Sonny Fodera, Dom Dolla, Audien, Wally Callerio, Oscar P, Klatch, Jason Blakemore, Josh Billings, Nonfiction, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano and a host of other established DJs. Michael has played respected and legendary Socal venues, such as Exchange LA, Avalon Hollywood, Focus OC, La Cave, Sutra, Purple 33, Kava Lounge, Brussels Bistro, Kitsch Bar, Proof Bar, Juicy Beets (Las Vegas), The Deep Aura Second Sun Festival, and many other SoCal mainstay house music venues and events. He also spins live house music often on KX 93.5 FM in Orange County. Michael has also been actively involved with Dance Music Initiative, supporting their DJ education efforts and playing and promoting their underground parties and events. Michael spins mostly soulful house and tech house, but always pushes boundaries and bends genres. He reserves the terms "brave" and "interesting" as the highest compliments to pay a DJ and strives for that in each set. LINKS facebook.com/MichaelVegh facebook.com/SpaceOC instagram.com/MichaelVegh

The below write up pretty much sums up how deeply I love music......and how I always have for as far back as I can remember. This part of me will never change.....not ever. ~ You don’t have to be a musician to be in love with music. It plays a significant part in shaping all of our personalities and identities, even toddlers react to music first before anything else. A life without music would be terribly boring and quite hard to fathom. Below is a list of reasons why music is indispensable and probably just as important as breathing. ~ 1. Music kicks in every time words fail. Haven’t we all told our special someone how we feel through a song 2. It’s your only constant companion while traveling. Plug in your ear phones and disconnect with the commotion around 3. Music binds us even in diversity. You may not understand a language and yet the song moves you deeply 4. On several occasions a song becomes synonymous to a loved one. It often defines all the emotions you’ve ever shared. 5. Music is also an instant mood lifter. You have a happy list, a sad list, a drinking list. 6. It’s in fact hard to fathom any celebration now days without factoring in the music for it. Birthdays, Christmas, Weddings, etc.... 7. It doesn’t matter if you can sing or not, but no one can stop you from singing when you want to 8. Music is the key to creativity. Most people working in a creative environment believe good music is crucial. It’s both evocative and a great stimulant says science. 9. Studies also suggest that music in the near future will have the ability to heal Parkinson’s and speech disorders. 10. Science says that music has the power to affect your brain and even change the way it works! 11. Most importantly music is very spiritual. It taps into that certain part of people that sometimes really need to be awakened. ~ Music can change the world because it can change people.
