Welcome to Fired Up Fridays on Pure 107! We are Thommo and Keighley, a brother and sister team from Central Scotland and we got the fire in our bellies for our show in January 2015, when we realised the lack of stations in Scotland catering to needs of the country's copious amounts of Tech House junkies! By chance, an opportunity arose for a regular slot on Pure 107, Scotland's only 24 hour underground house music station and Fired Up Fridays was born! We mainly keep it on the Tech House / Progressive House vibe but with both our wide and varied tastes in music over the years we have been known to have a few tricks up our sleeves ;) We often like to provide a platform for unsigned producers to showcase their work on our show, so if you have any House / Progressive House / Tech House tracks you need plugging, give us a shout for a chace to get them live on air! We also have some 30min guest mix slots available for up and coming DJs so if you know your way around the ones and twos, get in touch! You can keep up with our antics by following us on Twitter (@firedup107) , liking our page on Facebook and you can catch us live in the mix every Friday from 10pm til 12am at www.pure107.com or by downloading TuneIn Radio and searching for 'Pure 107' ENJOY! :) Enquiries: fired-up-fridays@outlook.com

Helping peeps find their Mojo, one beat at a time. A versatile technician and storyteller behind the decks, Mojo is well-versed in the mystic art of Mojitsu. Mojo has been involved in electronic underground music for over two decades. At the height of L.A.'s golden rave era back in 1992, Mojo got his start at the storied techno weekly, What? Afterhours. He went on to become a resident for F.A.M.I.L.Y and Insomniac and was a regular fixture across Southern California at numerous massives and events, including the first three Nocturnal Wonderlands, Organic '96. He was recently invited back to Nocturnal Wonderland 2015 as part of the 20th Anniversary festivities, performing in the Upside Down Room. With a diverse and eclectic palate, Mojo prides himself on delivering quality sets across a broad range of styles, spinning everything from techno and house to drum & bass and trip hop. But a love for breakbeats and all things funky, jazzy and bassey truly resonates with him. An avid collector of vinyl, Mojo has a passion not just for mixing and production, but also for sharing the history of our underground music and culture. Mojo's production efforts have turned out a steady stream of releases under the moniker Mojo Rising, most notably funky trip hop and downtempo soundscapes for L.A. label Cold Busted. Many tracks have charted at online music retailers such as Beatport, Juno and Traxsource. While his primary focus is currently directed in the production arena, behind the decks, Mojo is still a force to be reckoned with.

I like to blend a variety of House Music which i term as being "Universal". Quality house music with a strong underground tone and a truly Universal appeal... and sifted through a broad spectrum of house genres, I pay particular attention to detail in my mixes and like to let the music breathe, along with seamless mixing....well I try anyway..😉 !!

ATTENTION! Please be aware I no longer post mixes on house-mixes. If you have happened to have recently discovered me or listened to me before, you can find me still posting mixes on soundcloud & mixcloud. Been spinning since 88 and after a 10yr absence I returned a few years back to start mixing again. Before my "retirement", I played at a number of clubs and had residencies at the "infamous" Legends in Old Burlington St and at the Emporium in Soho. I currently mix for fun, but if the right opportunity presented itself Imight be interested in playing out again. My style of mixing is (I like to think) smooth, Itry to take the listener on a rhythmical adventure / journey. I particularly enjoy creating something between the mixes (when possible!) rather than simply going from deck to deck, so if you find yourself; a) loving the tunes, b) having an irresistable urge to dance and c) then realise you haven`t got a clue which tune you`re listening to, then I`m doing my job. My musical style usually falls into 3 categories; deep, soulful or nu disco but always funky. Would love to hear your comments on my mixes, don`t be shy. Click "Follow" and i will send you a notification (only) when i post a new mix. Don`t worry i do not notify as to what i am eating or watching on tv ala Facebook. FELLOW DJ`S PLEASE SEE BELOW; Please accept my apologies for not listening to everyone`s mixes, due to work and family commitments, the little free time I have is usually spent on seeking out new tunes or working on new mixes. I am aware I don`t listen to enough mixes and am trying to make more time for this. HOWEVER, when I do listen to a mix, I will provide an HONEST, THOUGHTFUL appraisal and whenrequested will offer constructive advice. Ido not"COPY & PASTE" feedback. I appreciate what DJ`s can put into a mix and the least I can do is take time to offer feedback befitting the quality of themix. The level of excellence of mixes from my fellow (undiscovered) dj`s never ceases to amaze or inspire me. Keep em comin.
