Originating from sunny Bournemouth town and loving every second of dj life down on the UK South Coast is XJ. A passionate and meticulous dj whose pin point precision mixing, together with sensational tune selection has his crowds up and glued to the dance floor. XJ applies his sharp and seamless style predominantly to Drum & Bass, House, Trance and Hard Dance, but also enjoys the challenge of dabbling in other genres. XJ has had music running through his veins since birth and began getting more closely involved with music at the age of 13 when he picked up the mic and tried his hand at being an mc. After a few years on the mic XJ had the urge to mix and started messing around on a few of his friends decks. He then became a family man at an early age so XJ took some time out from the music scene and in 2005, he finally acquired his own setup. After a couple of years playing his vinyl at every chance he could get, XJ was ready to play out in his home town. He got involved with some local events and played at several Bournemouth hot spots including The Old Fire Station, Empire, Dusk till Dawn and DNA. When XJ attended university in 2010 he met a few like-minded dance music enthusiasts and together they launched their first drum and bass event Fracture in Bournemouth at the club Dusk Till Dawn. After the success of this event XJ’s passion and drive grew and the rest is history. His monthly residency at SoHo has become a regular hot spot for the local, house hungry bar hoppers. In 2017 XJ toured around Ibiza for his debut on the clubbing island, supporting the Parasol Ibiza Tour in association with Darkest Before Dawn Records. In 2018 he took his skills and sound to Ayia Napa as a resident DJ for Ayia Napa House Party hosted by House Party Events, along with house legend Junior Jack and 48 other national and international djs. In 2019 XJ returned to Ayia Napa with House Party Events alongside his fellow residents and up and coming djs Craig Knight, Franky Wah and Hot like Detroit. Next up in June 2019 will be XJs first festival slot, Home Farm Fest in Somerset, followed by his next summer booking at the largest festival in Wales: Logic Festival. The next step for XJ is production so watch this space! Started off way back in 2000 with a pair of gemini xl 500II decks and Gemini PS-540i mixer ortofon concord dj cartridge's and last but not least a big box of vinyl (mainly Bassline house and speed garage and a few funky house tracks). Then around 2009 I switched to CD with a dodgy Kam set up which I didn't like lol so i opted for a conroller started with cheep and cheerful and gradually built up to my current DDJ 1000 which absolutely love, (each to their own ehh haha) Still miss my vinyl all these years later, but now I have the ddj1000. My plan is to at least get 1 vinyl deck maybe a second one a little later. Also many years ago around 2004 I started playing on my pal Ste Busby's (aka (the producer) Buzzby) radio station "Loco's FM" playing bassline house and Speed garage, and over years I've played on many other station, currently I play on React Radio Uk Sundays 2-4pm playing mainly house and dance from all eras, then again on Thursdays 6-8pm playing bassline house and Speed garage, I'd love to play in a club or organised event but it just hasn't happened as I wouldn't know where to start to get out there, who knows ehh, maybe one day, but for now I'm quite happy doing what I do, So basically I'm just a very humble bedroom DJ, which absolutely loves all kinds of dance music from the 80s to present day.

Hello Party People! I am DJ SoulSh@ker, DJ Emi@L older name (Emile Banen). From the 80's i was fascinated to listen mixes on radio 3 The BVD (Bond van Doorstarters) So i thought i can do this too. Make cut and past mixes on The Akai GX-635D reel to reel tapedeck with 10" Maxell alluminium reels. After that i was fascinated to mix music on old audio and vintage DJ Gear. Repair them if it doesn't work. And sell them if i had enough of it. First mixes what i made where broadcasted on radio 538 "The Dance Top 40" in 1997. I recorded the mixes and jingles (With my own voice) on tape (Tape decks) and later on 386 computers. And after that on MD'.s (Minidiscs). Also i have make enough homemade projects like amplifiers, speakers and 3mtr transmitters. (Yes i was a pirate on the radio in the 90's) with many school and outside friends. Stievie Gonzales started mixing in 1996 at a friends attic with just 2 turntables, a mixer and a tapedeck. He bought his first DJ set in 2001 to mix hardcore and trance, just because he enjoyed the music. Stopped mixing for a few years and picked up again in the digital era with so much more possibilities.
