Not to be confused with MC Fast Eddie (Edwin A Smith), Eddie Scott IS Chicago's ORIGINAL (DJ F@$t EdD!e) a nickname his uncle Nate Scott {deceased} gave him while he helped his uncle DJ a family BBQ on 76th Justine in Chicago. (IE) his uncle took a bathroom break & told Eddie to watch the tables, but Eddie was already 3 songs in. When he returned, Nate called 10 yr old Eddie "Fast OLD Eddie". But shorten it to Fast Eddie, now known as a an old school artist, DJ & musician since July 4,1978. After attending Chicago's famous Mendel H.S. (the bi level) in 1982, Corliss H.S. 1983-85, then finally Hillcrest H.S. in 1988 to obtain his GED, & finally Chicago State University for his 2 Bachelors degrees in Health Administration & Nursing. Eddie moved to East Chicago Heights try out his musical skills with others like him in the area. He ran into a skilled local DJ in the next building who wanted him to become one of the original members of a deejay group called "The Housemasters" (along with Rockin' Reggie (Harris), Corey (Rogers), Ellery (Cowles) followed by solo spots & playing drums for various bands. On April 7, 2011 he married his soulmate Deatrice Ivory. A very professional and popular Chicago DJ and musician who has been in the business SINCE July 4,1978, who's looking for a residency in a extremely popular club, either in Chicago, Las Vegas or Los Angeles. ATTN: No need to audition for it, my work speaks for itself. PEACE & LOVE....DJ F@$t EdD!e Scott :-)

For the old stuff - 80s Chicago house, Detroit techno, and some classic dance tunes from the 80s - it's all on dusty vinyl. Two Technics SL-1200MK2's, a Denon DN-X120 which is decent for the price and Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones which I'm really liking. For some newer sounds, I'm playing with Ableton Live 7, an APC40 which I'm loving, and a M-Audio Fast Track Pro which is pissing me off. The drivers are crap (check their forums for endless complaints). It works fine on my PC desktop but not on my laptop which is where I wanted to use it.

This is my area to showcase my favorite mixes from other people that are not downloadable anymore or never were in the first place. These might be mixes that I grabbed from Discog.com/mixes forum or mixtapes that I came across in the 90s.

i started djing at 16 after months of begging the parents for months to buy me some 1210s,which i still use today going strong.my passion in music has to be old school piano, retro and vocal funky house if you cant sing to it then its no good lol.in the early nineties i started going clubbing, and for me to this day was the best for music.when i first got my 1210s i had no intension of djing in clubs it was just a hobby for and for my own enjoyment.i was actually tricked by a fellow dj and good friend who was already djing in clubs, when he phoned me up one thurday night and said he was ill and needed me to help him out and play at a bar for him,to which i found out later it was actually a dj competition to which he entered me and to my surprise i won to which the prize was residency at bradfords biggest dance club which pulled 700 to 800 in every friday and saturday night,my first night djing in the club was christmas eve which was packed out and i was shitting it,it was a big difference mixing some tracks in the bedroom and then to bid audience but i absolutely loved it and was hooked, and so my djing career was born. within the first year things went from strength to strength playing in numerous clubs all over yorkshire and holding down residencys and playing alongside some of the biggest names in the country (alister whitehead,k klass, paul taylor just to name a few) i was more known as a dj for my old school sets and so i was made a resident for retro which took me to ibiza djing at eden and loved every minute. in the mid 2000s i began working with a fellow dj (adam g) at a place called bar me which was just a bar not a club, but in the first 6 months playing there the profits soared 700% and went from a free bar and having to pay in on the door,so we sat down and thought were on to a winner here and decided to brand our own night and event, and so worship was born. our brand of night went from strength to strength holding down rooms at space, gatecrasher, visage and ethios, garlands and many more,we even ended up with our own radio show on a friday night on dvm radio (dance vinyll masters). i think the reason our night worked so well was because we didnt brand it as one style of music it was straight across the board,if it was a classic then it got played. in 2008 we decided to pull the brand as we both wanted to persue over interests,i decided to take a break from djing as it got to a stage where i stopped enjoying it and felt more of a chore going to work instead of doing something i loved. so now im back, loving my music more then ever and back on the scene :-)

DJ-Cosmic-Fire

DJ Cosmic Fire - Old Skool Rave DJ From the early 90's being heavily involved in the Underground Warehouse Rave Scene, I have been a natural when it comes to choosing 12" tunes & beatmixing them, to creating the emotionally charged journey for others to follow, weather it be Hard Trance, Harder House, Hard Core, Hard Style, Hard Tech, Progressive Trance, PsyTrance, Tribal Trance & PowerTrance.Having DJ Crisis as a firstly a long time friend (at the time), then as a house mate through '93, '94 & '95, plus of course a fellow promoter back in the day, allowed me 24/7 access to the art of flat out & intense beatmixing. I assisted alot with tracks selected & set arrangments of many of released CD's & Tapes as standard issue & the result being happy HartCore Ravers aplenty - this was very fullfilling indeed.I began to get serious on the decks after my involvement in the production of my last Rave in 1996 after a full blown schedule through '93, '94 & '95, co-producing 5 Mega Successful Underground Raves, plus having moved from the Northern Beaches up to the Mid Nth Coast at the time, allowed me the time to have "the time" to get busy on the decks. In 2000, I reached peak form after a long holiday in the UK where I brought back over 500 12" tunes, adding to my already vast collection of eclectic beats. I was mixing flatout everyday after work & quickly gained a solid reputation for smooth, seamless, beatmixed sets, with epic tracks from start to finish, creating a flowing journey through the chosen Genre I released. Many a DJ currently in the limelight or aspiring to be - have emulated my style, tune choice & mixing ever since.Back in those heady days of Future Acid House, Intelligent Hard Trance & the Massive UK Hard House Explosion, many 100's of each of my CD's & Tapes reached the hands of the Raving Public, with white label tunes that were at least 9mths in front of all the top line Sydney rave DJ's. These epic mixes where were on high rotation in car stereos, Home Hi-Fi Set Ups & were even played in clubs as far as New Zealand & the United Kingdom at the time.I have assembled on my audio host site, 15 Full Length High Quality CD's of which most were produced in the studio, but some are actually β€œlive” recordings from various gigs from that corner in time. I invite you to have a listen as a raver from past, present or future & of course, if you just like Techno based music & want to add to your collection. I guarantee that you be very happy with my mixing, track selection & arrangement. Latest tracks by DJ-Cosmic-Fire _________________________________________ 1 - Pioneer DJM-600 Professional 4 Channel DJ Mixer with Integrated Sampler & Effects 2 - Technics SL1210MK2 Turntables 1 - M-Audio Avid Studio USB Direct Digital 1 - Technics SV-260A Pro DAT Recorder 10 - Full Crates of Rare 12" Thumpin' Vinyl _________________________________________ Latest tracks by DJ-Cosmic-Fire-1 The underground warehouse scene simultaneously shrunk and grewin 1993/94 after the euphorial year of 1992 & the issues surrounding Happy Valley 2.Hardcore ravers remained the cornerstone of the scene right through 1993/94 at around 1000-1500 punters attending well organised, mid sized underground parties week in, week out.. as the year rolled on through, there were the extra 3000 or so curious new bees looking for a scene to get into. Those from the western suburbs were attending alot moreplus the commercial inner city clubbers came to the larger parties of the likes of the "Prodigy series" & of course - "Colossus". The emergence of mainstream exposure did annoy most of the original hardcore ravers who had stayed true since 1992, most felt that the mystery of the underground had been violated & was now headed for sell-out status (they were right of course). The Old School rave scene reached its peak in the mid nineties (crowd-wise) with the Colossus party in 1994, with an estimated 8000 people in attendance. I am so glad to have been at most of the events spanning 1992 right through to 1996. Anyways, whilst looking for some stuff in my Pandora's boxes the other day, I came across a number of full length high quality VHS videos of some of the most memorableraves from the old school rave era. I watched "Colossus" on theweekend in amazement with my girlfriend, who was blownaway by how everyone was so happy!!I reminisced being there back then, in that magical corner of time, apart of the explosion of mainstream rave in 1994. Althoughbeing an original hardcore raver, I really enjoyed the vibe at this party & seeing so many people from all the different scenes as one. I am digitising this party for all those who are curious asto what went down at the first large scale OLD SCHOOL MEGA PARTY in 1994 – Uploading soon .... P.L.U.R. Jase.W. :-)
