bought my 1st set of decks in 92 ... Sound Lab belt drives ... good huh? lol but i, and others learnt how to mix on them and were better for having done so as other DJ's, who only ever played on technics couldn't play on anything else lol i love oldskool ... 92 is probz my fav year though i love to play 93/96 funky house Though i much prefer playing on the 1210's, i have embraced technology and will happily play on any media (CD's, USB's, Midi Controller or even just stand-alone VDJ) you can catch me playing online on alternate Sunday's on OSKP Radio from 4-5pm (UK time) www.oskp-radio.com you can also see videos of my shows on my FB page here https://www.facebook.com/tonydjtstanding main FB profile https://www.facebook.com/DJTonyStanding My youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/DJTonyStanding?feature=plcp

i started djing at 16 after months of begging the parents for months to buy me some 1210s,which i still use today going strong.my passion in music has to be old school piano, retro and vocal funky house if you cant sing to it then its no good lol.in the early nineties i started going clubbing, and for me to this day was the best for music.when i first got my 1210s i had no intension of djing in clubs it was just a hobby for and for my own enjoyment.i was actually tricked by a fellow dj and good friend who was already djing in clubs, when he phoned me up one thurday night and said he was ill and needed me to help him out and play at a bar for him,to which i found out later it was actually a dj competition to which he entered me and to my surprise i won to which the prize was residency at bradfords biggest dance club which pulled 700 to 800 in every friday and saturday night,my first night djing in the club was christmas eve which was packed out and i was shitting it,it was a big difference mixing some tracks in the bedroom and then to bid audience but i absolutely loved it and was hooked, and so my djing career was born. within the first year things went from strength to strength playing in numerous clubs all over yorkshire and holding down residencys and playing alongside some of the biggest names in the country (alister whitehead,k klass, paul taylor just to name a few) i was more known as a dj for my old school sets and so i was made a resident for retro which took me to ibiza djing at eden and loved every minute. in the mid 2000s i began working with a fellow dj (adam g) at a place called bar me which was just a bar not a club, but in the first 6 months playing there the profits soared 700% and went from a free bar and having to pay in on the door,so we sat down and thought were on to a winner here and decided to brand our own night and event, and so worship was born. our brand of night went from strength to strength holding down rooms at space, gatecrasher, visage and ethios, garlands and many more,we even ended up with our own radio show on a friday night on dvm radio (dance vinyll masters). i think the reason our night worked so well was because we didnt brand it as one style of music it was straight across the board,if it was a classic then it got played. in 2008 we decided to pull the brand as we both wanted to persue over interests,i decided to take a break from djing as it got to a stage where i stopped enjoying it and felt more of a chore going to work instead of doing something i loved. so now im back, loving my music more then ever and back on the scene :-)

Started bedroom Dj-ing early 90's before selling my collection due to not financially being able to keep up to date musically. Then 2008 after over a decade out of the scene i was introduced to the legendary pioneer CD-J 1000 Mk2's and after learning how to use these properly as these were not my own i swore an oath to one day get a set for myself. October 2010 i purchased a set of CD-J 2000's and a DJM 400Ltd with stealth coffin to keep the dust away. November was when i started getting some mixes down and will continue doing so as and when i get the time, bottom line is i love mixing music from House to Hardstyle and hope you all enjoy my mixes for what they are....No Frills! All my mixes are 90% Live and recorded with one hit and the other 10% are when the occasional Boo-boo happens or i just don't like a mix, so i will Glue a new piece in later on. Apologies for the low output volumes of all mixes but as a rule i hate it when mix bass clips so all my masters are recorded within limits to keep clean & clear! Got my master kit last week "2012" so my current kit is: 2x CDJ2000, DJM2000 and set of 8" Pioneer studio monitors so after over a year off mixing im hoping to be spreading some more love via this awesome site ;) Sold all above apart from Monitor Speakers due to house move and too many Plugs/Space so now have more Minimal Pioneer XDJ-XZ Controller just running USB and single plug for Synched No-Frills Non-Edited Mixes of Varying Type.

DJ TONY D : OVER 200 MIXES FREE FOR DOWNLOAD www.djtonyd.weebly.com/ Loads of other free mixes on housemixes.com www.house-mixes.com/profile/tony-d Friend me on Facebook for notification posts for when new mixes are up www.facebook.com/home.php#!/profi…php?id=681573913 . Started mixing in the late 80's,with house music like orbital,klf,8o8 state etc and the chicargo/detroit scene that was big around that time and moved right through into the beginning of Belgium techno and hardcore scene and into Jungle/ D&B from 92 onwards aswel. Would mix most styles of dance music from house to progressive, garage and big beat etc. If it had a beat and I had enough tunes for a mix id mix it. Loving the Hardcore Breaks / Nu skool Breaks scene at the moment, thats keeping the old skool scene going.I've never prepped or worked out a mix ever, just cue the first two and of i go with just the tunes laid out in front of me.This way i feel the music and vibe more and its where i get my kick, mixing the way it should be done. Will only upload a mix im sure makes the grade. I love doing mixes of megamixes too and upload them every couple of weeks or so.
