Partilhem, curtam e comentem!

My time at Rendlesham Radio has come to an end and so that also means the end for now of my two radio shows, The Remix Radio Show and Retrospect 'Noughties Edition'. Keep your eyes and ears open for then when they....or some new show might return Hi, i'm Nez, i started djing in about 2002. I play mostly house music. Plus also for a little variety i play some tunes of a funk/soul/disco/rare groove kind of nature. I've played for and promoted many events at many venues in and around the Lowestoft and Norwch area.

Originating from sunny Bournemouth town and loving every second of dj life down on the UK South Coast is XJ. A passionate and meticulous dj whose pin point precision mixing, together with sensational tune selection has his crowds up and glued to the dance floor. XJ applies his sharp and seamless style predominantly to Drum & Bass, House, Trance and Hard Dance, but also enjoys the challenge of dabbling in other genres. XJ has had music running through his veins since birth and began getting more closely involved with music at the age of 13 when he picked up the mic and tried his hand at being an mc. After a few years on the mic XJ had the urge to mix and started messing around on a few of his friends decks. He then became a family man at an early age so XJ took some time out from the music scene and in 2005, he finally acquired his own setup. After a couple of years playing his vinyl at every chance he could get, XJ was ready to play out in his home town. He got involved with some local events and played at several Bournemouth hot spots including The Old Fire Station, Empire, Dusk till Dawn and DNA. When XJ attended university in 2010 he met a few like-minded dance music enthusiasts and together they launched their first drum and bass event Fracture in Bournemouth at the club Dusk Till Dawn. After the success of this event XJ’s passion and drive grew and the rest is history. His monthly residency at SoHo has become a regular hot spot for the local, house hungry bar hoppers. In 2017 XJ toured around Ibiza for his debut on the clubbing island, supporting the Parasol Ibiza Tour in association with Darkest Before Dawn Records. In 2018 he took his skills and sound to Ayia Napa as a resident DJ for Ayia Napa House Party hosted by House Party Events, along with house legend Junior Jack and 48 other national and international djs. In 2019 XJ returned to Ayia Napa with House Party Events alongside his fellow residents and up and coming djs Craig Knight, Franky Wah and Hot like Detroit. Next up in June 2019 will be XJs first festival slot, Home Farm Fest in Somerset, followed by his next summer booking at the largest festival in Wales: Logic Festival. The next step for XJ is production so watch this space! XJ thrives on his crowd’s reaction to his exciting musical journeys, so if you like what you hear and want to see him in action at your event get in touch. ''Updated 2020.11.08'' Hey! I'm DJ Peter from Eksjö, Sweden. Contact info: dmkonsulten@live.se, +46 706563029. I'm a DJ since 1985 and still enjoys it very much. For the last couple of years I've been fortunate enough to have DJ'ing as my full time job, doing +200 gigs a year. I adapt my mixing according to the genres and expectations from the crowd, but I always try to build an atmosphere that take my audience to some kind of euphoric happiness. Straight forward mixing doesn't leave much room for errors but when it's tight. it's beautiful. I like progress and I embrace new technology as long as knowledge and skill is what's behind the use of it. Here, I can listen to all your nice uploads and get inspired to learn new stuff. I play a lot of funk/soul/disco originals and only manual mixing does it as you have to ''feel'' the mixes to get 'em right. That's why I never use sync 'n' rarely the quantize function. All my mixes are made in one take. No editing. I prepare my music, not my mixes. What you hear, is what you can expect to hear when I play live. Unless something critical happens, I don't restart the recording. Some people don't agree with me in this, but for me to do it in another way, would be like cheating to my customers. So yes, there will be errors once in a while and that's how it is. There's no start overs in real live gigs, and that's what I practice for. You who take your time to listen to my mixes here, are just as important to me as the crowd in a venue, so I put the same focus in my mixes as I do on live gigs. Equipment Current Gear: Mixer: DJM-900Nxs2, DJM-2000, DJM-800, DJM-450, DJM-250 CD-player: 2 CDJ-2000Nxs2, 2 XDJ-700, All-In-One: XDJ-R1/Laptop/iPad Controller: DDJ-RB. Legacy Gear: This I sometimes use just for fun: 4 CDJ-500II, 3 CDJ-500S, 2 CDJ-200, 4 CDJ-1000Mk3, 1 CMX-3000, DJM-350, DJM-300, DJM-500, DJM-600 Headphones: HDJ-2000Mk2 & HDJ-X10K & some 19'' Mixers from when I started in the mid 80's. Missing: 2 Technics 1210's with Ortofon Stylus nightclub Most of my gear are also used in various DJ workshops, and I'm old enough to see the sentimental value of the gear I've been using over the years :) . Every piece bring back memory's of long gone clubs and people I've met and got to know.
