Jackin House Competition 2023
These are the final results of the Jackin House Competition 2023.
Unfortunately, our guest judges, Da Funk Junkies, were unable to judge the semi finalists so they left it in our capable judges hands to determine the Top 3.
However, Da Funk Junkies send their regards and say they still honour their commitment though to add the winner to their promo list and give the winner an unreleased track.
Thanks to all the contestants for your entries and of course, thanks to our judges for your patience and engagement. It means a lot! And last but not least, a huge thanks to our sponsors for sponsoring us with the prizes.

"Since it was the last competition, our expectations were very high. We thought it would be the best competition this year with top mixes. It turns out that our expecations were too high. We saw a clear pattern in the submitted entries - they didn't have enough or any knowledge about Jackin' House, which reflected the quality."

Rules
In order to compete, you need to follow these simple rules:
- Genre: Jackin' House (similar genres you're allowed to use: Chicago- and Funky House, but mostly Jackin' House)
- Name: Jackin House Competition 2023
- Primary Tag / Genre: Jackin House
- Additional Tags: Jackin House Competition 2023 (Important!)
- Length: Approximately 30 minutes (not over 35 minutes and no less than 25 minutes).
- Include an accurate tracklist.
- Only 1 entry per person.
- Use the cover art provided.
- Be creative and pay attention to what the judges are looking for!
- Once you submitted your mix you can't re-do it and submit again.
If your mix doesn't match the rules, the judges will exclude it in their evaluation.
So please read the rules carefully before you submit your entry.
HOW THE JUDGING WORKS:
The competition will comprise of 2 segments.
Advancement from round 1 will be determined by our special jury and they will choose 5 mixes that stands out. Those 5 semi-finalists will be presented on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/housemixespage and on Telegram https://t.me/housemixesgroup before they move on to the next and final stage.
Top 3 placements of round 2 will be determined by our guest judge along with reasons why those 3 are the best mixes.
The judges will be looking & scoring on:
- Track selection
- Mixing techniques
- Creativity
- Progression
- Technical abilities
