Terraπ (pronounced TerraPi) is the alias of Maurice from Germany, who first appeared behind the turn tables in 2010. His name originates from his love to nature (terra lat. = earth) and the letter π (:pi), which stands for eternity. The combination of these words sounds like therapy. A meaningful name, as he says, since music is some kind of therapy for him. Terraπ describes his sound as creaky with screwing acid and dynamic basslines, which will pitchfork you onto the next level. Playing with spheres and vibes - at the same time building up and maintaining almost geometrical structures just like the classic orchestra music by J. S. Bach - he brings elves, gnomes and goblins to life ;-) After five years of learning the mixing process and performing in rather private surroundings, he decided to share his passion with others. To accomplish that goal he became a member of the chaishop.com-family in 2015. In August 2018 Terraπ became an official dj for the legendary label Spontaneous Aerobics from Munich, Germany. Only one month earlier in July 2018 he started to work for the newly founded label Root Sector Records. The route was, first loving all dance music. Than expressing myself 17 years young as nopromedia guy with projekt:watchyaself ,dj name:straighthead, a brutal hardcore using only thecd dj, without pitch. Than some 5 years later, after being to many parties and clubs, I starting to love the psychedelic grooves, In a small 'grachtenpand'club in Amsterdam, I had my first warm premier goa party. The club "MaZZ0" with dj Avi (Am*dam) played 7 days a week, original psychedelic techno/Goa. I became GOAHIPPY, also went to Anjuna (The paradise of drugs and booms)(India) There were at certain nights parties everywhere, in the jungle (Bamboo Forest), at the shore (Shiva Valley)(Prime Rose). And nowerdays I mix everything digital,with my small pc,resultjust perfect. I always publish mixes that are equal to the quality I experienced at the parties, and the cd shop mix cd's. Psytrance / Progressive Trance DJ from Berlin (Germany) Loves the music and work from Tristan, Middle Mode, Outsiders, Lucas, Braincell, Martian Arts, Ovnimoon, Psilocybian, Avalon, Aphid Moon, Altruism, Burn In Noise, Champa, Chromatone, Earthspace, Killerwatts, Inner State, Man Machine, Sonic Species, Xpiral, Zen Mechanics, a.m.m. Musician since nearly 25 years. DJ since nearly 14 years! Music is my special interest since the age of 6 or 7 I guess and is the most important thing in my life. Music is the universal language of mankind, you can meet all kind of people on the dancefloors of this world celebrating and loving each other. Music is the best medizin and fights against stress and depression. Music can save life! I bouhgt my first drumkit at the age of 16 and had my first band and shortly afterwards I played in a punk band (I guess it was in the late 80'ies). We had lots of gigs and I loved the expierience to get on a stage and make the audience happy. In 1994 Prodigy came into my world and changed everything. Steve Mason and his BFBS Show on Saturday eves was a must. He was the first DJ playing tracks from Flying Rhino, Dragonfly and other Goatrance Labels from the UK. I visited the Goatrance OpenAirs and parties in northern Germany and I knew - this is another world and I loved to be in this scene that is discribed as the Hippie Scene of the new era. Some years later I realised that partying is not enough for me and I want to be DJ. My first DJ gigs in 2001 were awesome and the scene was pleasant and gave me the chance to play several clubs and OAs in Germany. In 2011 in moved to Berlin to push my DJ carrier! Since then I publish a few mixes and play some shows every year. So if you want to book me, pls write an e-mail to djoota@freenet.de. The meaning of "Oota" The name OOTA is taken from the book „Mutant Message Down Under“ (written by Marlo Morgan) which is a very interesting real story about an American visiting the Aboriginals (the real humans) in Down-Under. She is the chosen one who is allowed to take part in the “Walkabout”, a tour through the Australian jungle. She has to burn all of her cloths, neat and documents cause she has to experience the nature like the Aboriginals do. The only English speaking member of this group is the Aboriginal OOTA explaining and showing her that talent, which everybody has inside, has to be heeded and grant-aided. Some of them f.e. are able to telepathy. He also shows her that the Aboriginals live in a singular harmony with the nature since 5000 years and that they respect the nature! The modern world like Europe or the U.S. have forgotten that and OOTA tries to explain what is really important on this planet. You should read this book. It is one of my favorites :)

Hi, I love DJ'ing, I'm doing it for several years now. I mix different styles of music: chill-out, psybient, ambient, progressive tech/trance, blunted beats, jazz or some abstract atmospheric music. I choose records who have an emotional impact on myself and others. I don't listen to mainstream radio-stations. These days I'm mostly active in psybient, ambient and progressive music.
