The serious stuff: The seamless mix between one track & the next is a wonderful thing. The not so serious stuff: These days listening to a lot of old stuff I missed first time round. Also, big into the re-edit scene. I muck about making mixes while my Mrs watches shite on TV. I only mix tunes I personally like....

Rodney has been mixing for over 36 years. Have a 40,000 plus record collection. He spins everythng from house to Disco to the oldies. But he's mainly into House Muzik. He started out spinning the Chicago style house. All the stuff they played on the old radio station WBMX. Now he's more into the Deep House side of things. Started out mixin' with tape decks. Don't play like ya'll never did that. Then he got 1 Technic table and a Gemini . Use to copy songs off the radio, then edit out the part where the radio DJ ran his mouth too much. Put some intro and outro's into it, then boom. Started buying his records from a shop in chicago called Imports inc. Chip E and Derrick Carter himself use to work there. Also went to State Street Records and Gramaphone and Hot Jams. Gramaphone and Hot jams are still standing to this day. People use to ask him to put songs on a cassette for them back in the day. Hi there & welcome to my profile. I'm a huge fan of 80s music, disco & funk re-edits. I also really like the newer deep nudisco scene thats emerging. I'm from Derbyshire in the Uk and ive recently come back to DJ'ing after a 10-15 year break. I started off with typical funky house tracks and moved onto house generally speaking, playing in a few clubs where i worked doors at the time, until i stopped after moving away from the club scene. I stream live broadcasts on Mixify.com & Mixlr.com (links below). If you enjoy these genres of music (particularly if your a big 80s fan) feel free to tune into these broadcasts when i do them, or check out any broadcasts ive done as i upload them on soundcloud and on both Mixify & Mixlr as well.
