New Jersey born and raised and listen to all types of music but I was always drawn to Tribal, House, and Club Music. I am a Mobile DJ now and also have a Weekly show I do on Mixlr.com. Special thanks to my brother "COZ" for inspiring me to return to my Boricua roots, and for the gift of congas one snowy Navidad in NJ which inspired me to return to the congas and the Salsa music that gave birth to "El Mazacote de la Mexcla Salsera", THANKS BRO !!!! A special shout out to my mom, dad and uncle Ray for the gift of music and percussion at a very young age, god bless you always !!!! I also want to thank my entire family for allowing me to share my gift of music with you all, I truly loved all of those times and wouldn't change a thing, just live life to its fullest and listen to your heart !!!! About me, I have been recording & mixing Latin Jazz & Salsa Gorda since 1977, I also mix Latin, house, dance classics, old school 1980's hip-hop and world music. I have also played live Latin Jazz percussion at the Blue note NYC, and at Cecil's Swingin' Latin jazz nights in Orange NJ. My musical mentors who taught me during my teenage years and in the Spanish Harlem percussion clinics include the jazz & salsa legends Ray Barretto, Tito Puente and Charlie Palmieri. I also love to play Latin percussion to just about everything especially the "Fania All-Stars", I have also mixed "salsa gorda" tunes for my brother from another mother and dear fellow friend Pedro Gomez back at Telemundo TV studios in Hato Rey PR, que viva la salsa por que aqui se formo la rumba!!!!

DJNICE - New Jersey DJNICE has always been involved in music. His love for music started in 1979 when disco tracks filled the air waves. As a young man growing up on the streets of Paterson, NJ, he can distinctly remember having an interest in music that made people feel good and want to dance. The Legendary radio DJ's such as "Paco NavaroFast Freddie Colon, and Supa Rocin Mr.Magic were a huge musical influence in his younger days....Local Street DJ's Like Paterson's very own ;DJ Super Jay and Bronx New York's DJ Kool Herc have played a major role in his decision to pursue his musical journey. DJNICE's teenage years were so full of house parties that it covered most of the Northern New Jersey area. DJNICE teamed up with his best friend DJ Lou Rock and together they created Double J Productions. There was no event too big or too small for the partners. The Infamous Club 203 located in downtown Paterson was clearly the making point. One of the most the humorous memories he has was not owning a car. DJNICE along with his friends transported disc jockey equipment, speakers, crates of records all walking the streets of Paterson on their way to the club. The music that was played at clubs like Roseland, Hearthrobs, Foxes, The Tunnel, The Copacabana, Palladium, Latin Quarters and many more would fill his mind and soul. DJNICE developed his music style and has been contracted to play at colleges, house parties, block parties. He has met many great people along the way dancing to the beat of the music. Music he played - rocked the house. As a professional DJNICE received his first gig at Excalibur in Hoboken N.J. The opportunities presented to him were endless and took him into the big City to play along side DJ/Producer Mike Cruz, at Krash; in Queens, NY. He has played along with some of the very best DJs in the NY area. The good old days of being the Resident DJ at 'Excalibur Night Club' lasted about 10 good dance floor packed years. His musical interests will never slow down. He loves what he does – Music is his life!
