About me, I have been recording & mixing Latin Jazz & Salsa Gorda since 1977, I also mix Latin, house, dance classics, old school 1980's hip-hop and world music. I have also played live Latin Jazz percussion at the Blue note NYC, and at Cecil's Swingin' Latin jazz nights in Orange NJ. My musical mentors who taught me during my teenage years and in the Spanish Harlem percussion clinics include the jazz & salsa legends Ray Barretto, Tito Puente and Charlie Palmieri. I also love to play Latin percussion to just about everything especially the "Fania All-Stars", I have also mixed "salsa gorda" tunes for my brother from another mother and dear fellow friend Pedro Gomez back at Telemundo TV studios in Hato Rey PR, que viva la salsa por que aqui se formo la rumba!!!!

I started making bedroom mixes in 1983 with a MAC and a double tape deck. In 1993 I was on the radio, broadcasting to Nottingham for 6 years as DJ Lazy. I started playing Nottingham clubs in 1994 and set up a night called Twist. In 2004 I teamed up with El Carlos and created Jump Shake Rattle & Roll in Birmingham. I have two Dennon HS5500 which is like having 4 turntables since you can play 2 tracks from the same player along with a DJM-600-K PIONEER MIXER. aahhh You don't want to know!!!! but mostly my own home made mixes specially done for the party I do. I like to do a "show" of what people have requested ahead of time so I like to make a mix or two with extra effects and get rid of all the boring intros and outros that sometimes seem they go forever. I am a paralegal in the day time. I have been working there for 16 years and I ;also do hair in the evenings. I ;love cutting hair and doing "Glamour" make up. ; Also, I ;dj on the weekends mainly for "fundraiser". I ;like to help people that are suffering from Alzheimers since my dad was just diagnosed with it, I also do it for people with Cancer and Aids by donating my time and money. My dad was a musician all his life so I have the music in me but as I was growing up I loved to hear really high energy disco, and then tribal, techno, rave but I now enjoy the diva house music with a touch of tribal touch.
