I still buy records and use my trusted Technics 1210s however, I have moved with the times and also use Pioneer CDJs and Traktor Scratch. Justin Fry's Remixes (www.djfryups.com) he is the best DJ producer, remixer and artist I ve ever met and I ve met Paul Oakenfold lol With over 15 years experience as a DJ I have an un-wavering passion for music, attention to detail, excellent ear for a wicked tune and energetic sets. I will rock any party ! I started out playing the free party scene whilst at University, where I was well known for playing Funky House with a bit of a break beat edge, heavily inspired by the likes of ; DJ Icey. My first residency was at Sankeys Soap in Manchester back in 1993. I then picked up guest spots at The Hacienda and Paradise Factory and was a regular at Hot to Trot and Progress. A chance trip to Ibiza in the summer of 1995 changed my life and opened my eyes to the bigger picture. I ;blagged a promoter into letting me play at Es Paradis and bumped into two friendly brothers from Manchester who were behind Manumission, Mike and Andy. I met Claire and her sister Lois and they spent a week with us and the rest is history! ; I fell in love with Lois and never told her and Claire and Mike got to be the the Posh and Becks of the Island and Manummision exploded into the biggest clubbing brand ever to be seen in Ibiza. Ahhhhh anyway I ve made some great friends and played all over the world since then but always come home to Manchester. A great friend of mine, Natalie Cook or Cookie as we love to call her, persuaded me to launch Debauchery at Bar 38 in Manchester (www.db38.co.uk) We had some great guest DJs including Graeme Park, Nick Hussey & ;Si Forestiero to name but a few. We supported local talent and helped DJs like Justin Fry, who is now one of my best mates and will be massive very soon (www.djfryups.com) and Natalie Brogan who is now playing all over the world. Also would like to say a very special thanks to Lea Mullen and Chris Crook for adding the best percussion and bongotastic vibe to our nights. Justin Fry and I were residents at ; ITHACA in Manchester playing everything from RnB to House Music, VIP guests included the likes of Jay Z, Kanye West, Posh & Becks as well as Ricky Hatton and loads of footballers. I have also DJed at The OK Magazine launch party for Natasha Hamilton's H Bar in Liverpool with Radio One legend DJ Spoony. I also played at ; X Factor winner Shane Ward's private album launch party at Manchester 235. More recently I ; DJed for chart topping Roll Deep. Commercial work has included working for clients likes of GHD, UGG Austrailia ; as well as various fashion shows. I have played and promoted nights in probably every bar and club in Manchester. ; I am also well known in the ; scene for being a celeb party DJ. ; I am available for bookings, however I am central in a network of close friends who are the most tallented DJs in the UK. Justin Fry, Dave Law, Gemma Furbank, Natalie Brogan ;and Simon Forestiero we are the best in the North West.
