Stanton's Dual Rack Mount C.500 CDJ's with a Denon DN-X100 Mixer. I'm saving up for the big boy stuff though... Pioneer CDJ-900's accompanied by the Pioneer DJM-800 and 2 Mackie Thump powered speakers. Mainly minimal techno / tech house tracks, i do have a wide variety from house to breaks to progressive, just depends on the mood, time slot and venue. Being the creator/founder of the BlacklightProject.com website, I am no stranger to electronic music and Prodigy's "Music for the Jilted Generation" is to blame, but in the best way possible! It was an introduction to the music I would embrace and continue to collect for going on nearly 15 years. After getting to know co-worker Cromeens and eventually Zeller (circa '99), it made me want to start collecting the tracks that were underground hits for the time and was consumed by the music and culture. By early 2004 I was purchasing digital tracks from the beast that is Beatport and started getting into the mixing stage of things and would practice at "The Elmwood House" which happened to be Zeller & Cromeens' home and notorious afterparty hotspot. A year or two later DJ Spy and I would become friends and have weekly, if not daily, practice sessions at my townhome. In mid 2006 I purchased Reason 3.0 and began producing minimal and techno tracks... Not happy with many of the tracks I produced I would concentrate on mixing music, developing recently into a techno and tech-house DJ, with live sets amongst the driving side of the genres. In 2007 with the help of a buddy I was able to realize a site for putting my mixes up on the web and Blacklight Project was born!! After living in Florida for the majority of 2008 I have since moved back to El Paso and the timing couldn't have been better!! El Paso has a vibrant growing scene with great local talent! My biggest show to date, was at Club 101 on the outside patio as warm up for Mark Farina (2007). I am ; a resident at Ocean Lounge (was The Garage Tequila Bar) and having played more local gigs at such places like Soho Lounge, Industry, The Manhattan Nightclub, The O.P. and 33Beats Dance Club. I have also been accepted as a contributing Dustcity Music label artist with two tracks "Reactor" and "Video Drone - 2009 Mix" available on Beatport.com ||::: all of the mixes I upload to this site will be in low quality (it still sounds good) 64 kbps MP3 format. I have many many musical influences, too many to name, but some of my favorite producers right now are Fiord/Antix, TG and Marcin Czubala. Those dudes just know how to make clean techno / tech-house.
