A trip back down to funky town...haha. The Chicago style funk fans should love this...gotta say... I was tapping like crazy while doing this little number. The aim was to go back to that retro funk/jack sound you would typacally find in the more western clubs ...let's call it "pure" House ;) First half's got some hypnotic deep basslines... setting the mood just right for those retro/funky numbers later on. Not all tracks are fresh out the oven but boy did I have to go digg deep in folders to get exactly that sound I was looking for...lol. Some of my all time favs thrown in here. I really wish I had all these tracks on vinyl ....would have been perfect as the "house"sound I was going for reminds me of the days when they were spinning vinyl in hot smoke filled venue's . Shakin ass and having a good time like there's no tomorrow! Big up's to my bro Rodger Dolk who juiced up that bass a little with his studio gadgets...hehe...makes that sub-low bass sound extra phat!!
