This one starts out nice, the rich ambience of that Ghost in the Shell track picking up the mix of dark driving bassline that moves through some intensely ominous darkstep, slowly working the energy and the tempo up until by the time the Law of the Jungle hits it just crushed the room. And then its just full on power from there. I'm mixing some heavy techstep with the darker bass creating something new that I think is pretty awesome. Drum and Bass has always kind of bored me after a few minutes, it all starts to sound the same and I wander off. Not so much here. The techstep provides variety, keeps it intelligent and interesting, while the bass just rips. Sometimes you get it just right, this was one of those times. I dropped this coming off a 3 hour club set that same night at a private party for an afterhours set, so I was good and warmed up. I was in a pretty special place for it, no doubt. I couldn't be more happy with how it came out. I just wish I kept the tracklist so I knew what the heck I did that night. Aah well. Magic of the moment.
